The one in Calera just passed by about 5-6 miles south of my house. I could hear the thing.

Is that for real about spann?
Yes it hit his home. Said his family is ok, but his house suffered damage.

He did it live on air. Then went off camera a few minutes later to call her. She was okay. He posted a picture later of his back yard with what looked like hundreds of trees down. Didn't show a picture of his house for obvious reasons but he said it did receive damage.

Years ago the Midwest was getting all the tornadoes. Now it’s the south especially Alabama.

Dixie Alley has been known about for years. Early spring is the active season in the mid MS-AL region. Later, it shifts to the midwest.

It has always been the south. Like the other poster said, Dixie Alley has been recognized as an area of high tornado activity going back to the late 1800s.
