No weather here in Colorado. It's cold, but pretty normal around here. I keep hearing about blackouts down South. You guys stay safe

End up going to someone else’s place to stay since power went out yesterday. It’s a big place, but 17 people (7 of which are 8 and under) and 7 dogs is a little nuts.

My folks across down have been without power for a good 36 hours now.

We’ve got water still, gas and electricity still out though. We had gas yesterday so I was able to cook up some stuff to eat on for a while, but now stovetop and fireplace are both down for the count. We’ve had electricity maybe 2 of the last 36 hours. Currently 42 degrees in my house, wind chill is 3 degrees outside. My two year old’s weight has at least been doubled by the amount of clothing she has on

frick snow, frick ERCOT, frick the parts of Texas that never lost power like Highland Park, frick zero regulations on our power grid, and frick all the companies that were too fricking cheap to winterize their fricking infrastructure.

No power, water, or cell service for the past 3 days.

At a buddy's now that hasn't lost power throughout (yet). Running low on drinking water but have enough to make it a few days. Full bathtub and a pail for the toilet and a swimming pool outside so at least we have unlimited plumbing.

Have plenty of booze to get me through all the political slinging on social media/the internet

Frozen pipes, no electricity. Haven't lost natural gas thankfully. T-Mobile's lack of generators (or at least ones that work) has also kept me in the dark, so no Internet/Text/Calling. I have a generator, but it doesn't have an inverter to protect electronics (last thing I need is fried TVs and Phones ).

frick this Yankee weather.
