he's still going to play in the Senior Bowl.
No opting out for this guy. I'll miss watching him play at UA
Alabama senior running back Najee Harris has accepted an invitation to play in the 2021 Reese's Senior Bowl, executive director Jim Nagy confirmed on Wednesday.
“We spoke to Najee yesterday afternoon,” said Nagy on Wednesday via WNSP-FM. “It was cool the enthusiasm he had in his voice to get down here to Mobile. He’s fired up about it.”
The Antioch, Calif., native is now the seventh Crimson Tide player to accept an invitation for the all-star game for seniors, which will take place at Hancock Whitney Stadium in Mobile, Ala. He is set to join offensive linemen Deonte Brown, Landon Dickerson and Alex Leatherwood, long snapper Thomas Fletcher, wide receiver DeVonta Smith and quarterback Mac Jones -- an eligible redshirt junior -- as participants in the annual event later this month.
Harris rushed for 1,466 yards and 26 touchdowns on 251 carries in his final season at Alabama. He led the nation in rushing touchdowns -- by five -- and also ranked second nationally in carries and third in rushing yards. Harris caught 43 passes for 425 yards and four touchdowns, giving him 30 total touchdowns in his fourth and final season, which is an Alabama and SEC record. Harris also ranked first nationally in total touchdowns this past season.
edit: I didn't read it all before posting but now I see that Smith, Jones, Dickerson, Leatherwood and Brown are also playing. Kind of surprising to me, in this day and age.

Probably has a lot to do with not having a combine this year. That's why you are seeing guys like Najee and the Heisman winner play in the senior bowl.

Is he?
I don't recall seeing him in any mock drafts.

A stud who’s done it the right way. Best of luck to him.

It’s a shame because he is a top 10 talent.
NFL teams just don’t rely on one RB to be successful.

He definitely has a chance to be but he needs learn how to NOT run so tall (being 6'3" makes that challenging).

I dont know about that. NFL teams seem to have gotten smarter about wasting first round draft picks on running backs. He's easily the best RB in this draft and I would love to see the Falcons draft him at #35 overall.
The first realistic landing spot for him is going to be whenever Buffalo's first round pick comes up, IMO. They've got a complete roster and a good RB is the last piece missing.

I will be so glad to no longer seeing him carrying the ball for Bama!
Hope he does well at the next level. Seems like a good kid.

He's easily the best RB this draft in my opinion, and if they take a rb in round 1 he should get it. But will they take a RB?

He is not a first round lock. He could go in the late first round. First round lock wouldn’t be projected as a late 1st round pick. Smith, Waddle, and Surtain are 1st round locks. At the latest, they’ll be mid 1st round picks but could each be top 5 picks.

Definitely not a lock but I could see him going late first round. A "rich get richer" pick sort of like CEH last year.

I think he is the best back bama has had in a long time. I would rate him better than the last heisman winner. Mainly because of athletic ability. All were good, but Harris is special. He plays like he loves the shitt out of the game. Much respect for him.

I hate bama but I really like najee. He can do it all. I’d be suprised if he’s not a round one pick
