Yes. But there will be growing pains for the offense at the start of the year

Probably, Mond wasn't bad per se, but he didn't give them enough to push them over the edge. Aggie is hyping up this kid King so we will see what he can do

I actually think they stay about the same and get back to the 7-5 season norm

No way. 2020 was A&M’a best team ever. Going to be a 3-4 loss team in 2021.

Hopefully we won't have games like this...

vs LSU last year 11/34 for 105 yards

Vs Gators a few years ago 8/24 180 yards & 1 int

Both of these were wins but the games shouldn't have been close at all. He had some disastrously inaccurate games vs Clemson and a few others. Didn't happen that often but 2... maybe 3 games a year he was terrible. His highs were high but his lows were spectacularly low.

Ready to see someone much more consistent and smooth the peaks and valleys out a bit. Ags should be much improved with consistently good to very good trigger man. He does not have to be great considering the talent surrounding himn.

No. With the explosion of modern offenses in that league, and them running a grinder 90s era offense, their future is losing a lot of 34-21 games to the top teams in their conference that have more explosive offenses accompanied with a functional run defense.

Depends on who's next. If I had to bet though, I say no. Except for Jameis, Jimbo has not been able to develop a QB. Honestly, I never though Jimbo made Jameis any better. Kid was talented through the roof but he pretty much did what he wanted to at FSU.

Maybe. Haven’t seen who is behind him yet.

So from all the yes answers one has to infer that Jimbo is an idiot because he played the wrong qb last year. Kinda dumb to play mond all year when the tram will be better without him.

Not in the short term.
Burrow, Tua, and this defense-light season has screwed with fans’ perception of what level of QB is actually needed to win a national championship or have a NY6 bowl season.

Mond’s experience will be missed and will result in a loss or two next season. Their next QB can be great, but it’s just not historically likely that he shines in his first starting season.

Higher ceiling/lower floor kind of deal as with replacing any game manager type.

It doesn't have much to do with Mond, but they will be at least 2 games worse due to normal occurrences and other teams being not as terrible as this year.

Are passes beyond 15-20 yards important to an offense?

I would think yes. Mond sucked

I think we take a slight step back but we won’t fall off the cliff like LSU did this year.

In 2022 and 2023. King will need a year. But he’s a much better runner than Mond. And a much more accurate thrower. He just needs a year to master the offense.
