I'm not sure he is "better" than Justin Jefferson.
Two Louisiana legends who came from the same recruiting class.
Devonta just won the Heisman as a Senior by making college players look silly.
Justin Jefferson is breaking records in the NFL as a rookie by making NFL players look silly.

Impressive list of players that were never even the best college football players while they played.
Something Devonta Smith has been

Devonta is a great WR who benefits from playing in a system almost tailor made for his skill set, not sure I would call him the GOAT.

Yep Randy Moss and Calvin Johnson easily. Offenses have evolved and Smith didn’t have Reggie Ball throwing to him.

Let's not forget the majority of the top players sat out this year. Bama not really playing any competition this year due to that fact.

This isn’t fair because I really like Devonta Smith but he isn’t the best WR in college football history.

Look at the national rankings of the pass defenses Devonta played this year:
KY- 54
aTm-56
ND-61
AU-78
MZ-84
UGA-88
UF-100
AR-102
MSU-105
UT-106
OM-125
LSU-127
Hard to believe he played no defense ranked in the top 50.

Yeah because if the good ones had played he wouldn't have even caught one pass.

The 2020 CFB season will always be remembered as the WOAT (worst of all time).
It is what it is.

No, you.
It's a fact that this is a "fake", "pseudo", "asterisk" season considering 17 of the top 32 prospects for the NFL draft opted out. Top talent didn't play this year unless they needed to put more film out like Devonta. Not much competition out there.
No matter how much people want to argue, for all intents and purposes, this year was more like an exhibition than anything else.
