It's been rumored all week that Elijah may not play this weekend. His post doesn't specifically say after the LSU game or not but I'm guessing he will not be playing tomorrow.
Take LSU.
Take LSU.

It's just best to assume that every star player is opting out.

Can’t blame a single one of them either.

He was scared he'd cost his team the game after what his fellow Fort Lauderdalian did last weekend.

If NFL in near future, no point in playing in meaningless games at this point.

Especially not with all the COVID protocols they’re dealing with this season. I might have more of an issue with it in normal years.

Except for the fact they signed up to do something and have received things valued in the 6 figure range yearly to do it.

If you think this is going away, you should just step away from football all together.

If he’s that scared of a freak hit, then I don’t know what to tell him. Take out an insurance policy.
It’s pretty chicken shite to go on and on about thanking coaches/teammates/staff/etc for their support, then bailing out with less than 24 hrs to go in the season.

It’s definitely put a damper on college ball, for sure. I just miss when you never heard about “opt-outs” or whatever. Before this year, I can remember two or three instances of players quitting their junior year, usually because of injuries and not wanting to hurt their draft stock. Now, if they have an owie they opt out. 2020 has ushered in a new era of vageen.

If bama wasn't in the playoff hunt, there are some that would not.
