Mac is basically a soldier on the shooting team.
He's in an air conditioned building with the best equipment firing away under pristine conditions. He asks for nothing, he has everything he wants.
Trask and Burrow were basically the reason Florida and LSU can be considered elite. They're soldiers. They go to war, they win the wars way more often than they lose them. They're battle-tested.
Mac is not. It's not to say he wouldn't be a good "soldier", but what's asked of him isn't nearly the same. Consider:
Alabama looks virtually the same every year. You guys win pretty much all or all of the games no matter who plays Quarterback.
Before Trask, our offense scored on average for the last decade: 27.2 per season.
With Trask's first start (where he started at the beginning of the year): 42.
With Burrow LSU had the most prolific offense in the country, probably a top 3 all time. Without him, their offense can't seem to do much at all.
Mac will leave Alabama, and your offense will be virtually the same with the next guy. Why? Because the Alabama QB position is one of the most pampered positions in the country.
You only have to make one read over 50% of the time.
Your receivers are all studs.
Your offensive line is huge and well coached.
Your RBs are consistently amazing.
The majority of your throws are probably one on one.
To say he's great when he hasn't had to actually win games with his arms, or had to throw to win as I like to put it, is premature.
He may be very good, but until he actually has pressure to make plays, we can't know if he's as good as Joe or Kyle. This also isn't a nod to say that he's a bad Quarterback, simply acknowledging that he is in the most favorable of positions to be successful.

Burrow won an NC while playing for a team coached by Ed DuBorgeron. I love Mac but nothing he will ever do can match that. It's not like going from nothing to something. It's like being stillborn and going on to be elected President of the World.
That right there is funny; i dont care who you are. Ed DuBorgeon....leave poor mike dubose alone....

May have all of ONE first rd pick playing with him.
Trask is not playing with "chicken shite" as someone so eloquently put it. He has both Toney and Pitts that catch the majority of his passes. As good as a QB is, the receivers have to be good as well for him to have the stats
Period

I think every one of them has been a product of a offense designed to showcase their skills.
Burrow is by far the best athlete of the three.
Mac throws a great deep ball.
Trask reads defenses really well and makes good decisions majority of the time.
I'm a gator so Trask #1

Well, someone has to catch passes. No shite.
However, Trask does not have near the talent with him that Jones or Burrow had.

Burrow missed how many games as a college qb?

If you think Alabama looks the same in the Tua-Mac years as they did with Jake Coker and Jalen Hurts it’s because you haven’t been watching

Burrow far above both. Not close.

The greatest part of these threads is seeing LSU fans claim that their “greatest ever” 2019 team was apparently Burrow behind a shite offensive line, throwing to blind receivers and running backs that suffered from Polio.

Ok guy hope u enjoy another questionable Title just like the other 5-8 that Alabama has.

1.)Burrow
2.)Trask
3.) Jones
Jones has more time than anybody I have ever seen to throw. He will make a nice NFL backup. AJ McCarron 2.0.
Neither one of them would touch 60 touchdowns even with a full slate.

LSU had an incredible OL last year, and the receivers were good. Alabama has that this year. Burrow's athleticism puts him above Mac.
Trask is not playing behind a terrible line. If he were, his stats would suck

Who said that? Link it.
Our offensive line wasn't bad but not dominant either.

This is flat out wrong. I know we won the award but if you actually watched our games, Burrow and CEH bailed our line over and over again. Bama and Georgia had better offensive lines in the SEC alone.

CEH doesn't bail the OL out. The OL creates the holes, and CEH takes advantage. By the end of the year, those holes were gigantic, and Burrow could sit in the pocket all day long

None of this is true.
CEH spun out of and sidestepped so many backfield hits it was unbelievable
