FEI ratings (FEI) represent the per-possession scoring advantage a team would be expected to have on a neutral field against an average opponent. Offense ratings (OFEI) and defense ratings (DFEI) represent the per-possession scoring advantages for each team unit against an average opponent unit. FEI, OFEI, and DFEI ratings are based on a combination of opponent-adjusted results to date and preseason projections.

LSU's defense, at this point, has better per drive scoring numbers than their offense.
Who woulda thunk it?
Who woulda thunk it?

LSU fans told me their offense was a great system that succeeds no matter who is at QB.

If you look at Alabama and Florida on paper, this is an absolute statistical mismatch.
Alabama statistically is playing like one of hte best teams in College Football history.
I think the line for the SEC Championship yesterday had Bama as a 13 point favorite.
Wouldn't be shocked at all to see Bama be a 17-20 point favorite when game week arrives.

Honestly, my main takeaway from these numbers was Florida's defense has been sneakily better than everyone says.

I think it'll stick around -11 to -13. Florida is dangerous.

I don't know how thats possible watching every game
This is the worst Florida defense I've ever seen in 25+ years watching Florida football

They were fine offensively with Brennan.
Not Joe Burrow all time elite, but that was a competent offense that could’ve won plenty of games.

Name of the game is keeping teams out of the end zone these days. Florida has a done a better job than most of that.
But yea, we're with you, it's incredibly hard to get used to a certain level of defense being "not terrible" or even "good" when you are so wired based on what we used to define defense as.

They were explosive but not very efficient. Now they aren't explosive or efficient.
