Since the SEC still hasn't announced new dates for some ppd games (which aren't hard to figure out; reposted below), it seems pretty obvious they're waiting to see if there are any more postponements this week that'll need to be worked out too. Time isn't running out yet. Per the SEC, next Monday (week from today) is the deadline for moving UA & LSU Dec 5 games to later dates to allow for UA-LSU on Dec 5.

ALL postponed games rescheduled:
10/17: LSU-UF->12/12, VB-MO->11/28
11/14: 4 games ppd to 12/5-12/19 (below)
11/21: A&M-OM->12/12
11/28: VB-MO (AR-MO->12/05, UT-VB->12/12)
12/05: UA-LSU (UA-AR->12/12, OM-LSU->12/19)
12/12: UA-Ar, Au-MS, LS-UF, Ga-Mo, AM-OM, UT-V
12/19: UA-UF, OM-LSU, MO-MS, A&M-UT

Arkansas/Missouri and Tenn/Vandy postponed.

Vandy/Missouri will play this weekend, a game that was postponed way back on 10/17.

Sounds like Tenn was avoiding Vandy, not a good look.

SEC Games of November 28 Rescheduled (SECSports)
quote:

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama (November 23, 2020) - The Arkansas at Missouri football game of November 28 has been postponed, resulting in rescheduling of games that include Vanderbilt playing at Missouri on November 28 and the postponement of the Tennessee at Vanderbilt game originally scheduled for November 28.

The Arkansas at Missouri football game of November 28 has been postponed due to combination of positive tests, contact tracing and subsequent quarantining of individuals within the Arkansas football program, consistent with Southeastern Conference COVID-19 management requirements.

The Vanderbilt at Missouri game is a rescheduling of a game postponed on October 17. The game will be played at Noon ET on Saturday on the SEC Network.

The Tennessee at Vanderbilt game is postponed for the purpose of facilitating the rescheduling of the Vanderbilt at Missouri game. This rescheduling of games allows for the continued opportunity for all 14 teams to play all of its 10 games in the 2020 season.

"As we continue to adapt to the current realities, it important to remain flexible as we move forward in the final weeks of the season," said SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey. "Contact tracing continues to be the biggest contributing factor to game interruptions. We will continue to manage the remaining weeks of the football schedule to allow for as many games to be played as possible."

The opportunity to reschedule the Arkansas at Missouri and Tennessee at Vanderbilt games will be evaluated. The rescheduling of games on the remaining SEC football schedule will include December 19 as a playing date.

The SEC's COVID-19 management requirements, as developed by the SEC's Return to Activity and Medical Guidance Task Force, are available on SECsports.com.

ALL postponed games rescheduled:

Allegedly.
I'm thinking this now clearly sets us up to play LSU next week, moving the Arkansas game to the 12th

It certainly does IF Tennessee is simply canceled as a means to get all the games in. I can't think of another reason to do it. If Tennessee starts reporting a ton of COVIDs to go with Fulmer's contributions, maybe not as much.

It's not official. It's a tentatively feasible plan for all games postponed so far. Per the article above the SEC intends to reschedule ALL postponed games. They've also indicated they're waiting to finalize and announce all rescheduled games in case more get postponed. Monday evening is the deadline for each week's schedule.

I am told, barring further cancelations, the SEC will move forward with these changes to Alabama/LSU schedules:
* Bama/LSU on December 5th
* Bama/Arkansas on December 12th
* Ole Miss/LSU on December 19th.

There is a plan for #Bama-#LSU to meet next Saturday, sources tell @SInow, but it depends on this weekend’s games being played as scheduled. This plan could move Bama-Arkansas to 12/12 & Ole Miss-LSU to 12/19. But this is a week by week thing.

Looks like LSU's best receiver is going to opt out after their game with A&M.

Bama might beat LSU by 60.

Makes sense. Why lose more money in the draft by getting shutdown by Surtain and Jobe

Postponed Alabama-LSU game officially rescheduled for Dec. 5 (BOL)

quote:

Alabama’s road game at LSU, which was postponed due to COVID-19 issues for the Tigers, has been rescheduled for Saturday, Dec. 5, it was announced on Friday. The scheduling move also means the Tide’s Dec. 5 game at Arkansas will be moved, likely to Dec. 12.

Alabama and LSU were originally set to play on Nov. 14, but the game was postponed due to a combination of positive tests, contact tracing and subsequent quarantining of individuals within the LSU program, consistent with SEC COVID-19 management requirements. Now the game will be made up three weeks later thanks to some schedule reshuffling by the SEC.

"The cooperation and flexibility of our coaches, athletics directors and campus leaders along with the dedication of our student-athletes now provides the opportunity to reach this point in the season with the ability for each SEC team to play ten football games in 2020," said SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey in a release.

"We knew before the season there would be interruptions and scheduling challenges related to COVID-19 and we will continue to manage the remaining weeks of the football schedule to allow for as many games to be played as possible, with a continuing focus on determining an SEC champion."

Alabama and LSU will meet for the 85th time in series history next weekend. The Crimson Tide owns a 53-26-5 all-time advantage, despite losing last year’s shootout between Nos. 1 and 2, 46-41. That win by the Tigers snapped UA’s eight-game winning streak that included a 29-0 win in the Tide’s last visit to Baton Rouge. Alabama head coach Nick Saban is 10-5 in his career against LSU, including a 10-4 mark at Alabama. LSU head coach Ed Orgeron is 1-6 all-time against the Crimson Tide, including a 1-3 mark during his time in Baton Rouge.

Because CBS had rights to the originally scheduled Alabama-LSU game on Nov. 14, the rescheduled game on Dec. 5 will be televised by CBS at 7 p.m. CT as part of a doubleheader.

Revised schedule of SEC football games for Dec. 5:

Alabama at LSU
Arkansas at Missouri
Florida at Tennessee
South Carolina at Kentucky
Texas A&M at Auburn
Vanderbilt at Georgia

Alabama’s remaining regular-season football schedule:

Nov. 28 -- vs Auburn -- 2:30 CT (CBS)
Dec. 5 -- at LSU -- 7 p.m. CT (CBS)
Dec. 12 -- at Arkansas -- TBA
