It is a bit perplexing how Mullen doesn’t recruit better though

but UGA has no quarterback and to be consistent contenders in the SEC and the nation, he'll have to recruit well. I think he will.

He has had two #9 classes and currently has the 7th ranked class. People act like he recruits in the 15-35 range.

Great win by all means. That said, we still have you a hell of a game with our two best Dline men and 2 safeties out on top of Bennett being hurt and no pickens....

Not sure recruiting had much to do with it.

We have recruited very well recently on defense. He recruits what he wants on offense...and can we say it doesnt work? I would love to see better recruiting on the lines..but he has proven they can develop everything but safeties. Damn you English.

The actual recruiting itself is underwhelming, but not awful. If he stays somewhere within the 5-10 range, that should be more than good enough to compete with his ability to develop talent, particularly offensively.

The problem is that the underwhelming recruiting has been compounded the last few years with some of our highest rated recruits transferring/not qualifying/getting kicked off the team before playing a single down for us.

Chris Steele
Arjei Henderson
Issiah Walker
Diwun Black
Wardrick Wilson
Devayie Hammond
Jalon Jones
Johnnie Brown

All 4-star players and among our highest rated recruits.

Everyone beats Kirby with less. Welcome to the club.

He’ll care when he has to go against a team with excellent recruits, excellent coaching, and not injury depleted...

Ive talked about this before. Recruiting sites give WAY too much weight to 5-stars. 4-stars are usually just as good when it all shakes out.
I think the most accurate way to look at recruiting is to count the number of 4/5 stars, and add them together, then compare.
Florida has been raking in 4 stars every year

He is a qb developer u will always be in it and have a shooters chance. Qb is the key ingredient for a championship team. If his defense and surrounding personel hit on all cylinders ever few years he will be a title contender. Wins like this change the perception and could change the tide of a program. Who knows... The bottom line is is you can coach a qb it makes up for a lot of deficiencies.
