I don't think he was trolling.

By all accounts LSU was very complacent in recruiting him and assumed he was Baton Rouge bound.

Alabama pushed harder than anyone thought possible and Sage liked it. He is a LSU fan so he made an announcement to commit in 5 days to see if they ramped up their efforts to land him. They did.

He seems like a good kid. I like watching these kids get emotional and realize how lucky they are.

Best of luck to him and a great get for LSU.

Absolutely this, spot on. The staff cannot get complacent like this again, hopefully it was an eye opener.

Committing on Saban’s birthday is no coincidence, IMO. Combine that with the fact that Shea Dixon had no idea about this announcement until Tim Watts wrote a story about it, and I think the writing is on the wall. Possibly the biggest pull from LSU since Saban has been here.

Kirby Smart says hello. Just saying. Georgia has had the #1 class 2 out of the last 3 years and has out recruited both Saban and O.

I mean let's be real.. Bama wanted Sage bad. But it's not like losing him will ruin yalls class. Yall reload like no one else...must be nice lol. Hoping LSU can play a competitive game in 2 weeks and maaaaybe sneak out with a W.

From an article I just read on another site Sage told EdO straight up from the get go, LSU didn't need to be in constant daily contact with him. He knew what LSU was all about.

Also read that the weekend isn't over and something could/would pop tomorrow.

Makes sense.

At LSU, he'll play as a freshman with that horrid defense needing all the help it can get.

Let's just hope being on 3 bottom 100 defenses doesn't ruin his NFL prospects.

Next year we will have the #1/#2 db/safety of the last 3 recruiting cycles playing on the same field together. Stingley, Rick's, and Ryan
