Not a troll thread. I honestly do not get it. Mond is average. They do have a good RB but RB depth is poor. Receivers do not seem like they are top tier in the SEC. Offensive line returns a lot but it was not an overwhelmingly good line last year by any means.

Their defense could be decent but I doubt anyone thinks it will be top three in the SEC. They did not create interceptions well and did not pass rush well. Does that change this year?

Is it some assumption they automatically improve under Jimbo in year 3? I really can not see a reason to think the Aggies are a contender this year when compared to Bama, Georgia, Florida, LSU, or Auburn in all honesty.

I'd like to hear a convincing argument the Aggies can go better than 6-4 this year.

They can't suck forever, right?

Simple as that.

Its bout the same love for Florida. Both are overhyped.

Yeah man, Florida lost to the toughest teams they played like aandm. Until either beat good teams, I’m not betting on them to win the conference. At least Jimbo has won some big games though

The only thing stranger is this boards hatred for the Aggies.

Their eccentric traditions, incredible yearly endowments, and insane enrollment have been nothing but a positive for the conference since joining imo.

...Easily my second favorite SEC school.

I'll take you at your word.

SR QB who is above average. With more time (improved OL play) he could take another step forward.

Depth at RB is ok now. We can go 3 deep. Much more speed at the position than in a long time.

Receivers are a question mark, but the guys being replaced are less talented than some of the new guys (See Demas)

OL will improve. We return everyone that matters and gives younger guys time to gel.

The defense should be strong. Ranked 23rd last year (SP+) and return almost everyone plus add some decent talent. LBs should be near the best in the conference.

We return ~75-80% of production which ranks near the top.

We came off of 9 and 8 win seasons. Obviously, not great, but its not bad when you factor in our schedule.

Don't down a1m!!! They have NC winning HC... they have one of the top rated QBs for the 2020 season... they beat LSU in 7OTs and defeated their demon... and finished 2nd in the SECW, at some point.

They are the BOMB!!

It's one of those "If not now, then when?" situations.

Going into the season they had the easiest schedule in the SEC. It was more that it would have been very hard for them to lose more then 4 games then them actually being good at Football

Um..we beat Auburn last year. We also looked a whole lot better than you vs LSU. We also beat LSU the previous year as well as Michigan. So three top ten wins despite having Macs recruits. Think Florida will be fine now that we have more talent.

People are assuming that all of the other teams got much worse and A&M stayed pat.

Fun fact:
TAMU's last natty occurred closer to the start of the Civil War (78 years) than to present day (81 years).
