2020 LSU is still flat out better than your favorite team unless you happen to be a fan of of Alabama, Georgia, Florida, or Auburn. We don’t play Georgia in the regular season and Bama is in BR. I’m not overly concerned with the road game at Auburn. LSU will likely go 8-2 with a full slate but anywhere from 7-3 to 9-1 is plausible at this point. 6-4 wouldn’t be a disappointment but I just don’t see that happening...

The 2020 roster:

Our offensive line is great. Our running backs are top 3 SEC. Our receiving core is STILL top 3 SEC. Our TE is said to be exceptional. Our QB is a veteran with extensive knowledge of the system and he has a damn strong arm and workhorse RBs to take some pressure off the passing game.

Our defensive line is very young now but I absolutely expect those guys to dominate. We have two freshmen who are 1st round talents at DT. Linebackers are always good and this year will be no exception. DBU.

Special teams can be exceptional with returning talent.

So all trolls beware two first round departures this week will not stop this train.... The losses would hurt any program sure but LSU has depth and talent at WR and DL and we will withstand these early departures.

Now with that said we can’t afford another major loss at WR or DL but I certainly understand if more players want to opt out to protect themselves and prepare for the future.

Geaux Tigers!

6-4 wouldn't be a disappointment? With the schedule you have. Puhleez! Bama is the only team on your schedule where you will be tbe clear underdogs.

Old Missed, State, Arky, Vandy, Mizzy, SC RENTA WINS. AU will be a slight underdog. aTm & Fla will be pick-ems.

Bama will be tbe only clear favorite

8 wins should be what's expected this season. 7 while not up to expectations, will not be disastrous. However, less than 7 wins would be an embarrassment to the pride of the LSULOSE TIGERS!

Can u dig it? I knew that u could!

Remember that time John Rhys Plumlee had 335 total yards and 4 tds against half of those backups then the starters had to come back in? Delpit still looking like he had concrete in his shoes

Aren't LSU's back ups all in the 2021 signing class at this point? Or is the LSU IFC Flag Football Champs the 2nd string?

Talk about attrition, baw.

LSU now has 16 (of 22) starters gone from their 2019 title team

26 (of 44) gone from the two-deep

Plus, defensive coordinator & pass game coordinator gone

Probably true.

I hate what is happening at LSU, no college football fan should be happy with it.

This is the key part of your post. It is 2020. 2020 is unforgiving, and even when you think it can't get worse, 2020 says "Hold my beer."

You just presented 2020 with a challenge.

Bama won by 4 touchdowns the last time they played in BR and haven't lost a game over there since Myles Brennan was in the 7th grade. The game being played there is not an advantage for LSU

You can't possibly lose the amount of production we lost and not feel some sort of set back. College football relies very heavily on experience and leadership, something this team will lack. Plenty of talent to make up for it, but that will take some time.

Fortunately, the schedule is relatively easy outside of the normal gauntlet. Between Auburn, UF, & Bama, we're looking at 2-1 at best and 0-3 at worst. A&M is laughable even in our worst years. SC and Miss St could be sleepers, but those should be a walk in the park.

7-3 at worst and completely understandable
9-1 at best and we should all be happy if that's the case.
