You do realize that I said that people are waiting to see. I never said LSU WOULD be Auburn 2.0, only that people are cautious about it. Burrow had the best season ever for a college QB; how much of LSU's success is because of that? How many games does LSU win last year with a Brennan at QB?

You can't have both dude. Your squad lost just about as many players as ours, yet you can reload and we can't? Da fuq

I get your subtle jab at our program but it's baseless as of right now unless you also group Alabama into the same pigeon hole.

I don't remember OP bringing up Alabama being underranked. That said, your statement is fair to an extent - Alabama did lose a lot, but not as much as LSU (14 players drafted compared to 9). The flip side of that coin, though, is that Alabama hasn't lost more than 2 games in a season since 2010; Alabama reloading has been shown over and over again. LSU has not done the same, at least not yet.

I'm not jabbing your program, merely offering an explanation why they may not be as highly ranked as you feel they should be, using logic the voters potentially utilized.

If you feel that every possible explanation is actually a backhanded slap, and everyone not on your side is just trying to degrade your "team" regardless of what is actually said, this is probably more your speed:

Well, LSU isn't going back to "run it up the gut into a steel wall", short side options, toss dives, I-formation, multi fullbacks, and double tight ends. So there's that.

I never even thought it would be possible for a Playoff team to be that outclassed.

I honestly believe LSU would've won that game playing the second team. It looked like we were playing a JUCO defense

30+ point margins, CFB Playoffs:

2014 - Oregon 59, FSU 20 (39 points)
2015 - Alabama 38, Michigan State 0 (38 points)
2016 - Clemson 31, Ohio State 0 (31 points)
2019 - LSU 63, Oklahoma 28 (35 points)

Say bruh, I'm not sure if you watched the game or not but LSU had half a hundo at Halftime

That game was over FAR earlier than any of these other games were over. You can use numbers however fits your agenda but we all have eyes

No, that's fair. I'm just pointing out other teams have made the playoffs and then got blown out. You're right though, LSU was certainly on a faster pace than the other teams (Oregon and Alabama didn't really start their blow outs until the 3rd quarter, and Clemson's was more of a slow burn - scoring 10, 7, 7 and 7 for each respective quarter).

That said, it's not surprising. The weakest pass defense to ever make the playoffs vs the best passing offense in the history of the NCAA. Short of a miracle, Oklahoma wasn't keeping that game close.

Oklahoma vs the SEC - Pass Defense - in the playoffs:
2019 - LSU 32/42, 532 yards, 7 TDs
2018 - Alabama 25/28, 328 yards, 4 TDs
2017 - Georgia 20/29, 210 yards, 2 TDs

Combined states:
77/99, 1,070 yards, 13 TDs - Passer Rating 211.90

It won't happen because Burrow isn't playing college ball anymore, BUT if Oklahoma continued this trend they'd give up 693 yards and 9-10 TDs in the 2020 playoffs.

There will never be another 2019 LSU. Let’s make that clear. Louisiana HS always produce too much talent to tank. Their floor is 8 wins and that’s a BAAAD Season. That being said, November 14th will decide the national championship once again. We have depth. Bama has depth. It’ll be a showdown. You know it. We know it.

LSU isn’t Auburn! LSU has won less than 8 games in the past 20 seasons. Orgeron has never won less than 9 games in his three full years.
Name one player on the 2011 Auburn team who was as talented as Chase, Stingley etc.

To be fair, Oklahoma was better on defense this season than in some previous years.

We were basically playing their second string defense though after the injuries, suspensions, and ejections.

Still shouldn't have gotten that far out of hand though.

Not everyone....probably just you.

“Everyone” Thought Joe Burrow was just an average QB before last season.

“Everyone” thought Coach O was a below average Head Coach

“Everyone” said we had a below average defense.

“Everyone” said we were not a “complete team”

And “Everyone” said that all the way through the National Championship game.

Now you and everyone are saying the same stupid shite.

Take a look at trends.

LSU has been trending in a positive way for many years and has now exploded.

LSU will at least play for another within the next 5 years. We will all die and never see at least 9, likely 11 other SEC teams play for even one moving forward.

You make it sound like winning a NC every 7 years is a bad thing. Pretty stupid.

No, winning a NC every 7 years is great, but that's not what the previous discussion was.

So Auburn 2.0?

Auburn with Cam was better but yes another team is always better. LSU was one DJ Williams stepping out from the 5 yard line from losing to Auburn. He wasn’t pushed out either.
