Does Nix run like Ehlinger though? Dude is sneakily strong

I don't know if Nix will take as big a step in 2020 and Ehlinger did in 2018, but I could see a similar career path of getting a little better every year and by his junior/senior year being a really solid college QB who is a good, not great passer and a formidable runner with some power.

At this point not quite, but Nix has definitely has the ability to run with some pop. And he has a couple of years to get thicker and stronger too (like Ehlinger did).

Nix definitely ran some inside run stuff last year, the type of stuff you only run with QBs who have some RB in them. Ehligner developed into a straight bulldozer though - not sure Nix QUITE has that.

No joke. I thought Ehlinger was much bigger the way he runs

He legitimately runs like a running back - like Tebow did. He seems to almost enjoy running inside traps between the guards.

I love watching him play. Really fun college football player.

Also - he's 230 lbs now. He definitely thickened up.

Watching him versus UGA was stunning. Constantly moved the pile and made that arse quit

Nix didnt get a whole lot of help from Gus’s Offense and play calling last year. The route tree was limited and Gus didn’t have much of a safety valve if nobody was open. His two options were to run or throw the ball away.

I think this is a pretty good comparison. I do think Nix's ceiling is higher than Ehlinger's as a passer, but he won't ever be quite as powerful of a runner.

True, and Sam beat Georgia his second year.

Auburn beating Georgia this year, confirmed.

Might be on to something

Does a single picture exist with both of them in it?

I do not see one on the entire internet in my 34 seconds of searching therefore I close this case as factual. They are, in fact, the same human being.

If we get a season, I have a feeling he'll be doing more of that since his OL is going to be awful.

When compairing their freshmen years, thing Bo Nix definitely had over Ehlinger was his QB instinct.

Ehlinger would try to make things happen and as a result would create TERRIBLE turnovers. Literally 2 or 3 ball games were decided by a late game interception.

Bo really controlled that offense, which is impressive not only for any qb on Malzahn's system, but a true freshman to boot. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I don't remember him losing any games for Auburn this year, while winning a few through late, gutsy play

Bo will be more of a pro prospect. I think Ehlinger is a good football player that could find his way on an NFL team in the same way taysom hill has.

If been saying this all 2019. Ehlinger is overrated. Yes he can get the job done. But he can't take over games like Vince or even Colt did.
