After it was reported that five members of the Crimson Tide football team may have tested positive for Covid-19, rumors began to swirl as to who it may be. Another report from CBS 42’s Simone Eli states that those infected could potentially consist of a lineman, a couple skill position players and a quarterback.
One important name that has been brought up among fans speculating who it could be was Alabama’s expected starting quarterback for the 2020 season, redshirt-senior Mac Jones.
One comedic twitter user that is popular among the Alabama twitter community is Luke Ratliff (@Fluffapotamus88), a 23-year old Public Relations student at the University of Alabama from Wadesboro, North Carolina. Ratliff, gives his opinions on most large stories concerning the Crimson Tide, often times from a comedic standpoint.
Ratliff quoted a report which states the positions of the infected players and included a meme commonly used by members of the Alabama football twitter community.

It's June and there is no CWS in baseball or softball. No MLB. No NBA finals.
Sincerely, frick off.

I expected worse or better myself, something more intense anyway Not meant as an offense op, probably more a sign of the times and the dramatic news as of late.

Pretty mild "threat".
This title reeks of snowflakiness.

Snowflaky or not, it is a threat of legal action because of a joke made by the fat basketball fan.
If anyone is the snowflake here it's Mr. Jones.

It's a pretty clear legal threat.

You can defend your kid without screaming defamation over a tweet from someone who is a character on Twitter.
He overreacted.
ETA - and then decided to delete his Twitter account.

It's a pretty clear legal threat.

If I was Mac Jones’ Dad I’d be thanking my lucky stars my son was mentioned in a corona tweet and not a racist gun tweet.

How does a rumor of him having the flu harm him? There has to be harm, for there to be libel, correct?

So Mac’s dad could be worse than Tua’s dad.

Further proof that anything that has to do with Bama is terrible. Fans, players, and player’s parents are all terrible

Isn't it about time for Fluffy to graduate? I made it out at 21, and I wasn't a PR major.
