Since we have a lot of resident Texas fans: how often does the LHN play the 2006 Rose Bowl

It’s a little much. I randomly flip through and it’s at least a 50% shot it will be on.

What else are they gonna show? That’s pretty much their one bright spot in the past 20 years.

You’re definitely exaggerating, but it is on a lot.
And to be fair, if we ever win a National Championship I’ll probably watch it 100 times

Hell baw. A hundred times is humble. It may be the only thing I watch all year outside of live sports if it were Arkansas. I know..

There’s all kinds of games shown from the 60, 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s and even 2010s.
The OP is bullshite.
The other day, I enjoyed watching Texas beat Auburn in Austin from 1984.
Tomorrow (today, Saturday) the 2015 win over Oklahoma, and 2004, 2005 and 2019 wins over Kansas will be broadcast.
Interspersed are classic basketball victories over North Carolina in the first-ever hoops game at Jerryworld and a 2006 win over Kansas.
Soccer classics will be shown all day Monday.
frick off, OP.

I wouldn’t say he’s exaggerating at all. It’s been my experience too every time accidentally see that channel. That game is pretty much all they show. Sad.
Worst channel in history of television.

Texas is undefeated in games shown on the Shorthorn Network. It’s quite boring. Hell, Notre Dame even features games that resulted in losses on their NBC Network.

I guess when you get your own network, you can program what you want , no?

Triggered much? You can’t deny that they show that Rose Bowl A LOT. can’t blame them. That game was badass. I wouldn’t mind watching the LSU Alabama 2019 or LSU OU replay all the time too

Yeah that mentality is exactly what destroyed the Big12 and ran off quality members. For the record, the Big12 was once a well respected league.

It plays way too much, but frick, replays are kind of the only thing to play when other sports cease to exist
It's not as bad as it used to be like when the network first launched, but they're still extremely proud of that game haha

The LHN network seemed at the time a hilarious money burning bust of a concept and that has certainly proved out. I would be shocked if it is not turned off immediately once the deal runs its course.
There was such hubris at the time on the part of ESPN execs. The LHN was a small little thing compared to their crazy bidding for NFL, NBA, and MLB rights. This was the probably the very pinnacle of wasteful media bidding before ESPN turned to layoffs and austerity.
I don't blame the University of Texas though. Is someone is going to pay you that much money for the ability to eternally replay a handful of sporting events, you take the money and run.

i'm in DFW and have youtube TV and the LHN isn't included in their sports package.
it's not in sling TV's either as more people cut the cable LHN won't survive.....it's simply too much of a niche market.

Agreed .the pricing of the thing was FUBAR right out of the gates as well. A few of the more lucid Horn fans realized that at the outset. Other more deluded ones assumed the brand was on par with the NY Yankees or LA Lakers and people in Naragansett, Rhode Island would be clamoring to watch. I remember the anger when even the Austin area cable providers wouldn't pick up the channel.
This was prior to cord-cutting taking hold and screwing with the cable package subsidies and transfer pricing.
The thing is a massive boondoggle and will soon be RIP.

Xfinity STILL doesn't carry it 9 years later.
