Was already putting together built in excuses as to why Ole Miss is at a disadvantage due to not having Spring practice. Also defended his record and time at USC with all kind of excuses about loss of scholarships etc. A lot of the things he said were valid points but I failed to see lack of ownership and to me that lacks leadership. Coach O in contrast was very honest about his shortcomings elsewhere and holds himself responsible and talks about how he has grown as a result, I didn’t hear any of that from Kiffin. Also Kiffin said he is in Los Angeles right now and not in Mississippi, found that interesting. Only other interesting note is in comparing Pete Carroll to Nick Saban he said that with Nick Saban “fun” is not part of the equation at all and the only fun is holding up a trophy and then saying “let’s go win one next year.”

I mean in his defense this situation probably really does suck for new coaches. Mike Leach is gonna get a very short time to completely revamp his offense

Ole Miss will always be at a disadvantage.

They're Ole Miss.

Knowing him, he's probably "recruiting" the local high school scene.

I thought it was a very good interview from Kiffin. I have no idea how you are taking anything negative from it. You are reaching hard.

I’m glad you liked it, hope you like the excuses he gives about why he failed at Ole Miss in a few seasons.

Probably visiting the former 5 start QB that is transferring from USC.

In no way was that a bad interview. Don't know what you are smoking

You like all those excuses he gave about why he wasn’t successful at his time at USC? Not at one moment did he take any type of ownership about any failure he has had. I have supported Kiffin big time on this site and thought he was a great hire for Ole Miss, but this interview did not endear me towards thinking he will have success at Ole Miss, sounds like he doesn’t even think so.

Can't visit recruits. Is he already breaking the rules?

Will laugh when it becomes evident Mizzou and Arkansas made better hires than State and Ole Piss

Agreed and Tennessee is headed in the right direction as well. And yea Mike Leach having success in the SEC is laughable, he is washed up and his shtick is old and was never very good to begin with. I think Pittman will do well at Arkansas.

Kiffin did a hell of a job at USC considering he lost 30 scholarships. He did a frickton better than Shula did at Alabama when he lost 21 schollys.

Well, that IS where his kids live. He can't practice, he can't recruit in person, why not spend a little extra time with your kids?
