Would Devonta Smith have played ahead of Chase, Jefferson or Marshall. I think not.

Kid made a good move betraying his homeland and becoming a gump for life.

Your team just won the title and you’re worried about a player on Alabama?

I think we can all agree that he made the right decision.

Devonta "OneFitty" Smith wouldn't even start this season.

5* Ja'Marr Chase
5* Terrace Marshall
5* Trey Palmer
5* Kayshon Boutte
5* Arik Gilbert

And man, was it fun watching Gump message boards burn to the fricking ground when Arik Gilbert picked LSU or WHAT. The highest rated TE of all-time, who Gumps swore would be wearing the scripted A that everyone has, will be shitting on the SEC for the foreseeable future in a LSU uniform.

The Citrus Bowl will be happy to have them back so soon.

Smith absolutely would have started over Marshall and probably have started over Jefferson. Doubt he’d start over Chase though he’d give him a run for his money.

Short answer: absolutely not.

He made a decent career move (playing time) by choosing Bama.

Short answer: Yes.

Longer answer: He's a year ahead of Chase and Marshall (same class as Jefferson). He would have easily won a starting position at LSU alongside Jefferson in 2018 (remember, we started that season with Giles as a starter). There is no reason to think he would have relinquished the starting role in 2019. In fact, he would have flourished under Brady just like our guys did. The starting three would have been Chase, Jefferson, Smith. No question. Marshall is a great player, though. Expect big things from him next year.

Dude,
why don’t all of you enjoy your one year wonder, perfect storm timing championship and act with a little class?

Devonta Smith was the best WR on Bama’s team last year IMO. Dude’s a hoss and will light it up even more this year.

And yes he’d start on LSU this year opposite of Chase
