I am surprised at his success in the Alabama Senate race. I'd thought for sure he'd fizzle out because he was disliked by so many Alabama fans.

Politicians pander and I get that the necessary thing to do if you want to win a Republican primary is bow before Trump but I have never before seen a politician go as far as Tubs has over the last six months.
It's been disgusting to watch some of the things he's said not because he believes it but because it sounds like something Trump would say.

It isn’t that difficult to understand. He won’t be re-elected in a very conservative state. He was only elected because Roy Moore was running against him for a partial term

And yet Roy Moore nearly beat Doug Jones (less than two points and 30,000 votes) because Alabamians can't help themselves.
