Tommie Robinson on it's own is great hire, no doubt.

But it's another data point of a&m flipping or targeting LSU staff.

But why?

I imagine it's the zero-sum element of making your staff better while making a key rival worse.

Also seems like they may have developed a complex

I just pray that Robinson isn’t as excellent at A&M as Chavis was

It’s the best way for us to be able to recruit the state of Louisiana.

They relate to sports only as a competition to best their rival that keeps beating them.

Robinson was gone whether he went to Aggy or Rocky Mountain State.

Apparently O doesnt feel like losing him makes LSU worse.

Yet this has never happened. They always take someone we don't want and trick them into taking them.

They took A&M’s AD. So I’d say it’s a tit for tat situation

I recall occasions when they targeted LSU coaches but the only time I recall them flipping one was Chavis. I don't see Robinson as a flip. There has been talk about his contract not being renewed and Faulk replacing him for months now.
It was a good hire for Jimbo though but Kevin Faulk will do great.

Because recruiting is the name of the game.
A&M hired Coley for that same reason.

Also, A&M and LSU share much of the same recruiting ground donut makes the transition easier.
