Why are SEC basketball games played on the same 3 days?

It’s annoying. Just Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday.
What happened to Friday and Sunday night basketball games?
I’d much rather have 2 games a night than 4 on Tuesday, 3 on Wednesday, and 7 on Saturday.

because SEC basketball coaches across the board hated the Thursday night game followed by a Saturday afternoon game and pushed for a more travel friendly schedule.

I like it, makes it easier to plan for the weeknight games.

Its been a decade or three since we did it any other way.

It doesn't matter to me.
Why are you so bothered by it? Do Mommy and Daddy only allow you to watch TV one night during the week or something?

The Thursday games a few years ago were pretty sweet.
Bring back the 12pm JP Sports Sunday time slot

I have noticed some acc teams have played Saturday then again on Monday. This quick turnaround during the season likely helps for tournament prep as these teams will be used to that kind of quick turnaround.

To deal with school work! Homework and classes. Make them all the same so it will not be a conflict. I would guess that would be the reason.

Years back it used to be Saturday-Monday.
The set up is okay now.
The girls are Sunday-Monday-Thursday
The boys are Saturday-Tuesday-Wednesday
They leave Friday’s open for high schools and that gives coaches a chance to go watch some HS kids play.
All is good.
