Seems like a wasted year.

Doesnt seem like he got five games of action. Or was it four.

He was the backup QB. He needed reps just in case Mac got hurt. I have no issue with it

To me now it’s starting to seem like if you don’t play them you’re just redshirting them for their transfer destination.

IF you would do your homework and realized that Tauila was gonna be redshirted until Tua got hurt.. and Saban had no choice but to burn his redshirt year.

Nick said a month ago that he did it so that smart guys like you would have something to second guess the greatest of all time about during the off-season.

What can he say but, “Your welcome”?

Someone actually thinks there was a possibility he would stay at Alabama for 5 years?

Seriously?

The question is totally lost here. The OP was simply asking why burn the redshirt for a few meaningless handoffs?

Was it an oversight? Part of a plan?

It just seems interesting that we decided to randomly burn it for a few meaningless snaps that did nothing to help him prepare for the future. Doesn’t mean it was a poor decision or a smart one. It’s just curious that it happened that way.

Well now he has one less year if he transfers. Silver lining I guess.

It was never needed. Either he will start next year or transfer.

Agreed.

I get that he was the backup but he was just coming in for a few plays and handing the ball off. If Mac got hurt and Taulia had to play, I highly doubt he'd be thinking "thank god they put me in to hand it off three times last week, now I'm ready".

when Tua went down he was the back up so he got more game action. I doubt it would have been burned had Tua not gone down. Kind of a moot point dont you think since he is someone else's player now. We Bams need to move on. Duh
