Mullen left 1 year of a solid defense that John L Smith could have coached the rest of the roster was hot garbage. with gaping holes at QB, OL, DL, RB.

Yes, by recruiting what Mullen could and would not. He let AJ Brown out of Starkville because he took it for granted. He let us take Lashley because he was a douche who wouldn't fight. When Lashley started talking to us, Mullen dropped his recruitment.

We'll be 3 years into Joe's tenure and you'll still be blaming one of the most successful coaches in our history for his blunders. Mullen showed Joe how to win at State. You fill gaps with JUCO guys. That's literally the only way to get us where we were. And now you want to blame Mullen simply because Joe doesn't recognize this fact. Joe has not developed a single player on our roster in the 2 years he has been here, yet he's trying to build it from the ground up like we're some juggernaut. Hell, most players have regressed. Take Errol and Guidry for example.

We are still filling recruiting gaps from Mullen with Jucos. This will be the last year hopefully. We signed 8 i think this year.
