Actually I’d be surprised if he last past the plane ride back home.

Don’t get your hopes up. Saban still wanted him after 12 games. One game isn’t likely to change anything.

Hoping for Dylan Moses and Demouy Kennedy at ILB next season. Chris Braswell at Jack Will Anderson at Sam. Ray, Barmore, and Young on DL. Battle and McKinney at safety. Surtain, Armour-Davis, and Jobe at corner. Daniel Wright or Brian branch as 6th DB

Kevin Steele led the worst defense of the Saban era in both ypg and total defense ranking...

Those rankings only compare all the defenses that season to one another. In my view this group is worse even than a 2007 team that was low on talent. We can of course disagree.

Yup, players haven't developed under him. And they keep making the same dumb mistakes.

The defense improved a lot in the second half. That's not encouraging?

One decent half (against a trash QB who can't throw) out of 26 doesn't encourage me, Peter.

I'll be encouraged as soon as it's announced you are no longer employed by the University of Alabama in any capacity and are banned from stepping foot in the State of Alabama.

Patterson was probably the worst P5 QB we faced all season. We stood up in the second half once we finally started bringing pressure, but blitz shouldn’t be a last resort - it should be our M.O.

I’d still like to see Golding go, or else I GUARANTEE you we’ll see the same shite next season

He had weeks to prepare for Michigan's offense and we looked like we weren't prepared at all.

That sayas everything.

By the way it was Saban who had enough and adjusted us to stay in Nickel, not Golding.

So that was our only good defensive half of football this year?

As Ystar pointed out, Saban has seen enough and got way more involved in the second half. Coincidence that we shut them down in that half? I think not. Golding has to go.

The second half was better, but Michigan still had opportunities where Patterson overthrew guys. This defense needs a lot of work, and I still don’t feel confident that Golding can get them to where they need to be. That first half was as bad as it could be, after a month to prepare. We were getting gashed.
