I don't really care about a non playoff bowl game but why exactly is Georgia getting picked over Bama for a NY6 bowl?
Both have 2 losses
GA lost at home to a 4-8 team Bama pounded on the road
GA got absolutely embarrassed in their own state 12 hours ago to a team that Bama lost to by one possession
Doesn't really matter as both teams suck and will probably get pounded even by Baylor but... why?

minnesota is fun to watch. I really like their coach, he is a players coach that works his arse off and has results on the field that prove it.

- Saban vs. Harbaugh
- Two top-five programs historically

Because they won their division and the SEC champ is in the playoffs.
Besides, Auburn has a stronger argument for a top tier bowl than Bama by a long shot. Bama 3rd best team in the west in 2019.

They also are more “haters” so I think it is a bigger draw.
At some point, what happens on the field should matter more, but it is a show.

Auburn got screwed by Utah losing to Oregon. Now the Pac12 gets two NY6 spots instead of one with Utah eating up a Cotton Bowl bid.
