Had never seen that before. The question I had watching was whether the ball bouncing off of a Carolina player's head causes the ball to be "down" or whether that doesn't matter because it was behind the line of scrimmage when contact was made.

Weird play and tough break. Glad the D got it back a few plays later.

Nuss played well to start. He took some massive hits throughout the first half that clearly rattled him (he was pretty gimpy the rest of the way). Having guys tee off on you changes your mental clock, and you saw both interceptions were the product of rushing (mechanics on the first, decision on the wrong key the second time).

Not his best game, but pressure from the right tackle direction was damn near constant. He was able to scramble a couple times and get the ball away consistently, but he won’t get any credit here for any of that. When BK turns on the tape he should be apoplectic at how terrible the blocking was.
Give him that one and take away that awful pick. Totally different vibe for many.

There will always be haters regardless.
He has such long strides that his speed looks unassuming. Was wild to see him pull away from Lagway “easily” from the press box view.
If Clemson beat us they’d be 2-1. Which would make our loss look better than the win we currently have.

I was impressed by how little time Nuss had every play. Clemson was able to pressure with 4 most of the night. We had a great game plan that got the ball out of Nuss’s hands ASAP, and it was needed.

We will play other great defenses, but Clemson was impressive on that side of the ball.

I hope the coaching staff continue to scheme to the opponent as well as they did yesterday. I’ve seen some shitting on the play calling around here, but we were able to minimize the strength of Clemson (D Line) most of the night. Calling a 5 step drop back 40 times in this game would have been a horror show…
The ball was secure when his right foot was down, beginning the process of a catch. He stepped over the pylon, left foot out of bounds. As he stepped into the end zone the defender pushed him, sending him to the ground (after securing the ball and advancing to the end zone).

If you take a step AFTER securing the ball, then you didn’t fall in the process of the catch. The ball did not shift from the time it was secured and his right foot went down. At that point, Brown is out of bounds with his first step after securing the ball. That’s a touchdown.

If the ball shifted prior to getting into the end zone, then it would not have been a catch. This was clearly a catch, and the uproar is warranted. Glad it didn’t alter the outcome.
You’re wrong.

Just kidding. You’re marginally correct

What a terrible take. TCU won their semi
I’m sure Woodward’s response would be “thank you for the paycheck and 3-hour advertising opportunity”. Probably the best of either LSU could have hoped for at this point.
To be fair, the playoff selection Is a body blow to college football overall which affects all the teams.
Funny story: most of those roads are state highways that can only be modified by a literal act of (state) Congress

…except the panthers…
Talent didn’t keep this game close. You just have missed the first 1.5 quarters of this game. Auburn got points off of busts.

Only people down voting think I’m talking about the QB. Because this board if full of morons.
Jim and Joes are not the problem with this game.

Daniel’s didn’t play well in the first half. He was run first the whole half. After he settled into the game and start hitting his timing routes you can build tempo. Can’t just make it out of nothing.

The tackling and special teams were crap because this is the first “real” action of the season. There will be big improvements in tackling and some of the nerves related issues in the next week. Always happens.

This game felt like the 2010 UNC game, but we came out on the other end. TBD how it turns out from here, but that team got way better between week 1 and week 2, and the core of the team that came together in that season were the leaders of the 2011 team. We will see what happens, but watching these young men grow is definitely a big reason why people love this sport.
