Says things are getting interesting on lane. Said last night things changed. Says OM is now a major player.

I assume this is just sexton posturing for a better contract.

Funny because OM Rivals reporters are saying Napier has picked up steam this morning, and that OM didn't feel comfortable with where they were with Kiffin last night.

I pray the day comes that the IRS sniffs around Sexton and finds something big that lands him federal pound him in the butt prison for years and ruins his life.

Nothing has changed with Kiffin. No need to fret at all.

The ol Jim Sexton two step to draw maximum dollars wherever Lane ends up.
Jimmy loves bidding wars.

Yep. That's why he's cornered the market on college coaches. Dude gets people paid.

We aren't playing that game. HY offered lane 10 mill for himself, and staff. He isn't budging. His contract will he what he is willing to take from his assistant's.

Lane took less money at tenner to hire better assistants, and he will do the same here.

Bring on Drinkwitz!

In all seriousness, I reserved myswlf to the fact that Lane may choose elsewhere.

Apparently the Miss. reporter that broke the news Luke would be out has alos just tweeted this morning that Lane to Ole Miss is a done deal. Apparent dude has a brother on their BoT equivalent.

I could see Ole Miss having much looser lips on this deal since Hunter seems to be about the most buttoned up AD on the planet. This could also just be a big push by Ole Miss to draw in Norvell, knowing that the job may soon be gone.

Apparent Norvell won't talk to anybody until after the Champ. Game, at least according to some Ole Miss boards and national guys that I read yesterday.

The posturing for a better contract angle doesn’t match up with the rumors that some type of agreement has already been signed.

I'm not seeing the ones of something being signed. Have seen some with a verbal agreement in principle.

Dude on 247 who has a brother in the financial sector of the UA says all the ducks are in a row, and it is a done deal. Same guy who leaked the contract amounts being made up for Campbell, and Kiffin.

Coaches often accept jobs, start them, and work them without actually signing a contract. At this point in a search/hire they use what’s called a Memo of Understanding and like I said...all ducks are in a row.

His follow up post to someone saying they don't believe anything until ink is on paper.
