First of all, you had Luke because no body wanted the job, fricking nobody. You were as close to SMU death penalty 2 as has been ever occurred. The only question is how bad for how long. He hired great assistants. You have no depth no matter who your coach is.
You were playing what 18 freshman, have the fastest white man on the planet as QB and were competitive in Games against Auburn, Alabama, Memphis and LSU and should have beaten Cal and Texas AM. Everything was on a positive track until the state game. I mean seriously, who the hell do you think you are? Ole Miss has not won shite in Football since they started letting black kids play.
He should have been given another year, this is a knee jerk reaction and will nite the rebel bear shark admiral in the arse. You have no shot at Norvell btw.
Plus I am sure Plumlee has already been contacted by LSU, Texas, Florida, Florida Stars and Oregon, maybe USC as they all have good baseball teams too just to gauge his interest, while everyone is looking over your recruit list to see who they can poach.

I had a conversation the other night about this with an Ole Miss fan.
I see both sides of the argument and both have valid points.
I think what did Luke in more than the season record was the lack of discipline the players exhibited.

One of the ones they fired has led his team to an undefeated regular season and heading to the college playoffs this year.
Luke takes a job no one else wanted due to the shite show Freeze left. He does the best he can with the situation and leads them out of the NCAA sanctions and the first year they are off probation they kick him to the curb. I'm sure quality coaches are going to be lining up for that kind of gig.

Ole Miss was not losing because of the coach, you where losing because of your dumbass cheating a few years ago. Luke actually improved that program under horrible conditions. Oh will, I hope you hire the next Chad Morris.
