Bama waxed that arse 29-0 in Tiger Stadium and then lost 46-41 the following year. If it can happen to us it can happen to anyone. It is tough to stay at the top and a lot happens over a year.

Usually match ups return back to the normal after a blowout win by one side due to roster turnover etc. It looked like A&M had nothing left in the tank and shot their wad @ Georgia (pun intended). I don't think the team believed they had a shot.

Burrow is a once in a generation QB and the best player in college football. LSU has been very fortunate to have him fall in their lap as a transfer and the perfect storm come together this year. It looks like they are that effing team this year to go win it all. Expecting a tighter contest between LSU & A&M next year at Kyle field. The best games for me and my health are the ones I am not emotionally involved in. Should be a fun contest for years to come.

Hopefully the Tide can bounce back and give LSU hell as well.

You think? LSU won by 43. You’re going out on a limb there

I'll tell Siri to remind me in 11 months when this matters again.

Correct, expecting no drop-off in QB play next year is crazy. However if you follow recruiting you would know that LSU may be better at every position except QB next year. Oh and gumps lose 4 games next year.

You are absolutely right
Tua's whole reputation came on one pass to beat UGA
The rest of his career has been a loss to Clemson in title game and a disappointing jr year
Would the results have been much different with Jalen Hurts

No shite. This is about the third bama poster that has started a thread and given LSU fans advice like he is your father....

I have never seen anything like it. Is this what we get when LSU and Auburn beat Bama in the same year? Bc if so I hope this continues.

How soon they forget that we were on top for a while and remember all too well our own decline. We have been here before.

I agree with the OP of course is hard as hell to win at an elite level and even harder to do it consistently. Things can change from year to year, Saban kind of messed everyone’s definition of expectations with how well he has done.

I think of 5 year cycles. For LSU an ambitious but reasonable expectation is: be ranked in every final AP poll.... and have 2 outliers if you will. One when you are in serious contention at the end, and maybe one when you may fall slightly short of the final AP but still have reasons to believe things are still solid. Losing seasons are completely unacceptable.

Listen, Young'n,

Since 2011, the question has been, "If we only had a QB." Now that Burrow has blasted the answer at high volume, you honestly think with Joe Brady's tutelage, recruiting prospects, and a pre-established national brand that LSU will fall into an aTm post-JF apocalypse?

The end is indeed here, Baw. It just isn't our end.
