Do the ex-Alabama players that move on to the NFL love Bama?

Or do they look at their time there like it was a just a necessary step in the process?

Probably way off base, but always feels like a player at LSU, Georgia, or anywhere else may have a little more heart towards their school then at Bama.

The Bama thing just seems like a football factory.

They seem to love the hell out of Alabama to me, but I'm not sure how anybody is going to convince anyone else about something like this.

Varies with player I'm sure. Ingram's all bama. Comes back all the time, usually spends his bye week on the bama sideline. Passionate af on that sideline too.

Yea I feel like the players of the early Saban years like Ingram/McElroy love it....But maybe nowadays players may be a little different.

Recently many are bitter that LSU had to pass on them.

It is what it is. They’re in a pretty good place, nonetheless.

Julio was there to help Saban with his rehab after hip surgery. Barrett Jones and JPW keep with the program quite a bit.

The only program I heard of former players going all out for their school is Miami. The summer workout practices are legendary.

Just seems more like a pro program than your normal college program

I think he means do they come back to be a part of the current team. Like we have Kevin Faulk, Jamal Adams and others who are guest captains etc or do podcasts etc

I mean, Shaq comes back all the time.

The DBs give back for our lounge/ locker room area.

Not many athletes become Billionaires like Shaq though.

They're back all the time - just about every game they introduce 5-6 of them that get introduced on the field during a TV timeout that are on bye weeks and are back in town, normally dragging NFL teammates there to show it off to them.

Let's see here, I've yet to see DJ Metcalf, Laremy "Gasmask" Tunsil, or Robert "Peter fricking Pan" Nkemdiche on the Ole Miss sideline during a game. Am I missing any former Ole Miss NFL players?

I can see what youre saying and i agree... lsu players are also more vocal on social media in a prideful way i gues.. see it all the time... its like they really enjoy their time here instead of it being a mini football camp process... boys will be boys...

Most are pissed about the Dodge Charger. They thought it was gonna be the baddest car on the planet. Turns out it is an overrated piece of junk.

A lot of this amounts to:

"I follow players who used to play for my school, so I see them and immediately assume they're more passionate about their school than players I don't follow."

This thread is like a lesson study in confirmation bias.
