“National” AD search ends with Keith Carter

Will be announced today according to many on twitter.
We are so fortunate as a university to have so much coaching and administrative talent right here within our buildings.
Keith will probably do a good job and it’s not his fault, but can we just start calling the committees “Campus wide searches” and not nationwide searches? They are not even trying to hide it now.

I like Keith but there are more qualified people out there. Just like there are more qualified chancellors and football coaches but here we are.
We have a top 15 baseball program run by an LSU grad and a red hot basketball program run by a State grad but sure we have to have an Ole Miss guy because who TF knows

Man, how do we keep getting so lucky that, after all these national searches, the best person for the job just ends up being the guy right in front of us the whole time? It’s unbelievable.
In fairness to Keith, he’s probably going to do the best job of the three guys we’ve recently hired by sham searches. But it’s comical at this point.

Keith might end up being good, who knows. We all know the sham of the process and I’m not gonna repeat the same shite.
But you know what? I still haven’t forgiven him for Valpo and never will. And the man who is responsible for one of the biggest WAOMs is now running our athletic department.

Keith IMO was the right guy. Luke and Boyce hires have just tainted the trust in the administration and it gives the wrong perception of KC.

Agreed. I feel like a lot of people will have to eat crow regarding this hire in the near future.
