Man that’s just awful.
Is that all they can afford?

garbage tactics from a garbage program.
It's one thing to price gouge the frick out of uga fans and put everyone in the upper decks but I mean cmon, the radio guys haven't done anything to deserve that. Where the frick even is that? I've never seen any stadium at any level that didn't have all of that kind of stuff in the press box area at midfield.

It's not about affording anything. It's about intentionally sticking the visitor radio team in the corner of the end zone rather than middle of field where most press is.
Is this actually true though?

That’s Scott Howard who calls the games for UGA. Can’t speak for where Auburn sets its radio calls up but I’m fairly positive it hasn’t always been there

The new press box is fricking trash. For print, they have a men’s bathroom with one urinal and one booth. That’s it. Whoever signed off on it should be fired and ridiculed.

What a trashy freakin move. Can you really expect anything else from a place like Auburn?
Posted on 11/15/19 at 3:16 pm to Auburntiger
but why? Why not use the midfield press box area?

From a 2017 article
LINK
The demand for high-dollar seats and a changing climate of how college athletic departments view the media led to moving the press box from prime real estate to corner seating.
The internet age dawned an entirely new media landscape ranging from bloggers to social media reporters, while boosters and corporate sponsors have proven they’re willing to pay big money for good seats.
The $28 million South End Zone Project includes the construction of a standalone building outside the southwest corner of the stadium. It will be connected to the stadium concourse, but will be outside the stadium.
The building will be five stories, with the bottom floor housing an expanded locker room and football recruiting space and the top two floors housing the new press box.
The middle two floors will be a club containing televisions, food and drink services, and windows where fans will be able to see Tiger Walk taking place outside the stadium. It will not have a view of the field.
Once the new press box is complete, the current press box will be converted to club seating.
There will be about 120-140 actual seats, which will be wider than normal stadium chairs and could feature personal televisions. The seats will be covered by the overhang of the upper deck, but there will not be glass in front of them. There will be air conditioning and heat for early and late-season games.
Behind an expected three rows of seats, there will be a glassed-in area with premium food and drinks. Like the club in the south end zone, the seats will be for donors willing to pay a fee to sit in what Athletic Director Jay Jacobs said will be the “nicest area that any of our people have ever experienced.”

dont think it is new but believe its getting fixed with the offseason work and renovation. It makes no sense guess they want the $$$ people in the middle.

It’s right next door to AU’s so not sure what tactics you are talking about

AU fans pay the same price so not sure how it’s gouging and uga fans get a huge section in the lower bowl. More than most teams. Uga also shoves Auburn in the upper deck. So again you are making up something to be mad about
