re: Will Fromm be able to move the ball consistently enough vs that AU D?

UGA's defense is good enough to keep AU's offense in check. If UGA can get a few drive's in the first half, even if they just come away with 3, they could start wearing down AU so that those 3's turn into 7's in the 3rd and 4th. If they can't though, this could be a 9-6 type game where any busted play by either team could lead to points that become an insurmountable lead.

Auburn ain't moving it on Georgia's defense either. Will be very low scoring.

If we have the same offensive mindset we had in Jax I don't think we'll have as much trouble moving/scoring as people think. If we do the same thing we've done in the other 8 games we will struggle mightily.
Every other game this year, we've continually run between the tackles straight up the center's arse and typically only throw to the sidelines with no room to advance. Zero tight end use. No slants, crosses, ins, posts, etc. Against UF we did the exact opposite. We actually ran to the outside and let our RBs have room to operate. We threw over the middle. We threw to the tight end. We basically did a 180 from every other game. It's eerily similar to both 2017 games; in the regular season against AU we got killed by doing what I described above this season, in the SECCG we did the opposite and did much better.

AU’s is much better and fooling yourself if you think otherwise. 10 of FL sacks came in the first game vs a freshman littered OL for Miami. That number is skewed.
5 of AU’s sacks came against Kent St.
The matchup to watch is Fromm vs AU’s secondary, which is average. GA’s already played 4 SEC teams with better pass Ds than AU including #1 SEC / #4 National Mizzou, so Fromm throwing on AU won’t be an issue. It’ll support Swift, Herrien & Zeus vs AU’s better run D.

It’s like GA fans have forgotten the absolute shellacking AU gave you in their house two years when you were #1. None of you expected that. Just watch out, dem boys pissed and we always know Gus has his team more ready when they play at home.
lol and then UGA dominated them in the next two meetings.

I wish that was true. Passing has been an issue against nearly every decent defense we've faced, even when they're focused on stopping the run. If you exclude Murray State, Arkansas State and Tennessee, in the other 5 games Fromm's passing for about 6.5 yards per attempt and 190 ypg, 6 TD's and 3 INT's, which is pedestrian at best.

I guess you haven't watched many Georgia games this year. Other than about 3 games against bad defenses they haven't moved the ball consistently at all. I'd love to see it happen Saturday, but that's not the way to bet.
Georgia's offense moved the ball fine against the two best defenses they've faced. UF and Missouri have been the top defenses they've faced and Fromm and the offense looked fine in both games.

lol Fromm threw for 9 yards per attempt against Florida while dominating third down. If you exclude SC and the kentucky monsoon game, Fromm's numbers have been fine. Not sure why you think a monsoon game is more relevant than UF or Missouri.

Florida’s defense is not Auburn’s. And Jacksonville isn’t JHS

I don't think they're fine. Against conference opponents our passing numbers are down by every metric vs 2018, despite the fact that the pass protection has been great. Passer rating is 133 vs 160 last year. Yards per attempt is 7.0 vs 8.8 last year. YPG is 204 vs 219 last year, even though attempts/game is up from 24 to 29. TD's is 1.33 vs 1.89 per game last year. These numbers are even down from Fromm's freshman year, except ypg which is also due to more passing attempts per game. I don't think this is assisting our running game at all.

I haven’t forgotten. But both of those games were played in state of GA baw.
So? Both games had tickets split 50/50. It's not like Alabama had to travel across country.
Or maybe you think since we play Florida in Jacksonville, Florida every single year, it is actually a home game for Florida?

Point I’m making that with this nasty D at home, your gonna have a very, very tough out.
I would argue that our defense is better overall than Auburn's and our offense overall is better. Statistics would bear me out, too, I think.
BUT...yes. I do not expect an easy game by any stretch. I think it will be extremely tough.

Our OLine is equal to their DLine
I mean, Florida has more sacks than Auburn...but a good bit. Our OLine is considered one of, if not the best OLine in the country. Just like Auburn's DLine.
Not sure what is funny about that. I could also argue that Auburn's DLine has underachieved the last two years. Crap. We have not given up a single rushing TD all year. Not one. Can Auburn make that same claim?
Our rush defense is better than Auburn (TDs, Rush per carry, and guessing rush per game..but not sure etc)

Seriously dude, UGA has played an extremely weak schedule compared to Auburn. As such, those stats mean ZERO going into Saturday's game. And, stats aside, very few (if any) objective NCAA fans would take UGA's DL over Auburn's. Plus, Auburn's 2 losses came against Top Ten teams. You guys got whipped at home by weak arse USC -- the better team that day despite trying to give it away. So, if a weak USC team can embarrass UGA like that at home, Auburn can do it at JH.

Okay. So? ND is better than Oregon. LSU is great, but did they skew the numbers that much? No.
So, if you don't like that take a look at Florida. The common opponent.
quote:I would say you have been reading your DLine's paper clippings. And, it would seem, so has your DLIne. Do you remember what our OLine did to them last year? news flash,. They all came back but one, and you had a better QB last year.

We rushed for 300 yards against that DLine last year.
I don't think our run game is as good this year as last, but what if we rush for 200? Do you really think Auburn can rush for 200 against our DLine? Last year Auburn rushed for 102. Our DLine is better this year.

FWIW, I don't think it will be an easy game. I actually think it will go down to the wire. But for your fans to laugh at our OLine? That's just dumb.

Well, I can also say Florida's offense is way better than Auburn's and we kept them in check. I don't think Nix will be able to do anything against our defense. And I trust Fromm and our RBs more than I do Auburn's.
Auburn at home is a whole different animal than Auburn on the road.
