As a Senior VP of a Fortune 500 corporation at the time, my budget was hit with the cost of the tickets, corporate jet, hotel and meals/entertainment. So yeah, the company paid for it in the end, but without my invite they wouldn't have gone to the game. And BTW grammatically challenged troll, I have little doubt that this here "douce" has paid more in taxes in a single day than you have made in lifetime earnings. Now, any more words of wisdom Einstein?

Bud Walton Arena opened in 1994 at a construction cost of $30 million (half paid for by Sam Walton.
Auburn "high school" Arena opened in 2010 at a construction cost of $86 million.
In the end, don't be hating on those of us who prefer FIRST CLASS quality over TOURIST CLASS quantity. Case-in-point: The Georgia Dome opened 2 years before Bud Walton at a construction cost of $220 million. However, it was deemed obsolete as a world class sporting/entertainment venue and was demolished in 2017 soon after its replacement -- the $1.6 BILLION dollar Mercedes Benz Stadium -- opened its doors with 10,000 fewer seats.
It's a new day Plato -- one in which large capacity, cheaply built arenas aren't anything to brag about.

Most community colleges offer adult education reading and writing courses "fer free." Just saying ...

For years my company had a large plant in Fayetteville and during the 90s I took a group of employees from there to an Arkansas NCAA Regional game in Winston-Salem, NC. Suffice it to say, never have I been more embarrassed than that afternoon being among that "we-uns don't get out much" group. Despite beating the sh*t out of their overmatched opponent, they yelled and screamed insults at the officials and other team the entire game. So, why not learn to win with class and sh*t-can the contrived Arkansas air of superiority. After all, if not for Wal-Mart and Tyson Foods, the state would rival a quasi-third world country. In the end, Auburn played like sh*t tonight without their starting point guard in front of a hostile crowd reminiscent of the aforementioned group. Yet, despite it all, the game still went into OT and next week Auburn will still be ranked near the top, So, show some class and enjoy the win like the thousands who rushed the court thinking the local beer distributor was giving away $1 dollar off coupons for Keystone Light 15 packs.

Excuse me for listing (off the top of my head) a random sampling of some Auburn grads' world class accomplishments and having the ability to properly use the English language to do so. I fully realize that "education" is a dirty word to you "football is all that matters in life" types which sadly personifies the State of Alabama's embarrassing national rankings in K-12 education. Regardless, education, accomplishment (outside of football) and memory retention aren't bad things. That's why I was able to retire at a very young age. And yes, my Auburn education played a major role in helping that happen. To which, I make no apologies! Now, any more questions Bammer?

God only knows how a "cow college" in a South Alabama hick town (less than two hours from downtown Atlanta -- 1:30 to Hartsfield) produced the current CEO of Apple (America's 3rd largest corporation with annual revenues larger than the GDPs of all but 7 nations worldwide); the founder of Wikipedia; more astronauts than any SEC school and number five nationally; a number of Academy/Grammy/Pulitzer winners; the current Secretary of Defense; the first African-American female editor of a major newspaper (the AJC); a current Georgia Supreme Court Judge; CEOs of Accenture, Time Warner, the Southern Company and more; and, countless other accomplished grads. Seriously Bubba, 1980 called and wants its cliche' Auburn bashing back. Like it or not, Auburn ranks only behind UGA and GA Tech in number of alumni concentrated in metro Atlanta. BTW -- what year did your worldly jet-setter self graduate from UGA which is also an outstanding national land grant university just like Auburn. Hmmm?

Your triggered defense and corresponding insults trying to convince us that Auburn doesn't live in your mind rent free in actuality confirms the obvious from a deductive logic standpoint. Nice work Bammer!

A 2-1 or 3-0 record after next Saturday's game won't change the reality that Auburn will always live rent free in Bammers' heads. A growing number of researchers blame this mind controlling obsession on long term exposure to toxic mixes of black mold spores and other nasty pathogens commonly found in the atmospheres of slowly decaying manufactured homes.

A formula for your long term happiness:
*1980 mg of Lithium once a day
*Completion of 2 remedial English Composition courses at Truett-McConnell, or an accredited community college of your choice
*Mandatory attendance at "snowflake anomymous" support sessions every 1980 hours (actual therapy time to be diagnosed by a certified therapist)
*2 continuous hours of non-triggered Internet and FOX News free time every 1980 minutes
It won't be easy for sure, but always remember: At any given time there are at least 1980 people on this site willing to give you moral support.

Hey Champ! Take your state championship ring; all-state trophy in an unnamed sport; local newspaper clippings/scrapbook; and,.50 cents to McDonald's and you'll still be short buying that much needed cup of coffee as you approach day 12 of your Iron Bowl melt and newfound hatred of the SEC.

I'm sorry daddy. To show you that there's no hard feelings, here's a great UGA memory I found especially for you.

Actually, that is how Shug Jordan's family pronounced their last name. It's sort of like how Albany, GA is pronounced All-benny. Or, how Lafayette is pronounced differently in various states. Or, how "Birmingham" is pronounced differently in England. Or, how coon asses pronounce "about."

Lithium and a couple of remedial English Composition courses at a local community college could truly revolutionize your dream of becoming the next Tolstoy. BTW -- UGA leads the SEC (and is 6th in the NCAA) in combined numbers of chop block, taunting and personal foul penalties since Vince Dooley and Irk Russell (both Auburn grads and former players) coached them to their last national championship. I believe the year was 1980 if not mistaken! ??
PS: Irk Russell earned 10 varsity letters at Auburn -- one of the last 4 sport letterman in college athletic history.

re: Remember that time LSU was undefeated and played in the BCSNCG

Seriously, look at the cumulative total of all academic ranking publications/services and LSU falls out toward the bottom of the SEC every year only slightly ahead of Ole Miss and Hail State. Your grammatically challenged writing skills personify that sad reality. My guess -- since Louisiana has the highest poverty (and murder) rate in the USA, LSU has to accept a disproportionate number of sub-par in-state students which factors into its poor academic reputation. So, enjoy your 2019 football success thus far. But, chill with the contrived delusions of academic superiority. Auburn can boast the CEO of Apple; the founder of Wikipedia; 6 astronauts (including the second American female in space); a Medal of Honor recipient; and, many more accomplished grads. These include Academy/Grammy Award/Pulitzer Prize winners and several household name athletes. Conversely, LSU has James Carvelle; Shaq (considered your most prominent alum), Pistol Pete and some other professional athletes; a few journalists; a couple of actors; and, a long list of corrupt politicians. Ultimately, the proof is in the pudding playa!

Seriously dude, UGA has played an extremely weak schedule compared to Auburn. As such, those stats mean ZERO going into Saturday's game. And, stats aside, very few (if any) objective NCAA fans would take UGA's DL over Auburn's. Plus, Auburn's 2 losses came against Top Ten teams. You guys got whipped at home by weak arse USC -- the better team that day despite trying to give it away. So, if a weak USC team can embarrass UGA like that at home, Auburn can do it at JH.

This here "kid" has probably paid more in taxes in a single year than you've made in total life time earnings. But hey, you can always rest on the belief that this is the Internet and I could be bullsh*ting. So, it's all good.

So, are you saying it will be a QB draw? If Tua is around 90%, I think he'll shine at home. Not that Burrow will perform poorly; BUT, let's not forget the "it" factor. What has Burrow accomplished in comparison to Tua thus far in his career?

Golly jeepers. I wish that I could be as cool as you and my children will one day include how long I was on an anonymous football board as the highlight of my obituary. But hey, a man can dream. So, bask in the joy and don't be hatin' on us underlings. God bless you.
