Hey dumbass, look at the post i was responding to. Don't get all upset bc I stated the obvious and think that Georgia will lose Saturday. I hope like hell uga makes it to the championship game vs LSU so we can best the Dawg shite out of them again. It will be by more than 20 this time around too. Y'all are overrated like hell, like always. You act as if you've won a national title or something since 1980 and that you're some kind of elite program when you're not. 1980. Good Lord. All of that Georgia talent huh? Lol GTFO.

As for the way they play in big games? Was Florida and LSU this year not a big game?

Their defense played very well in those games.

EDIT: Also, multiple objective metrics rate Auburn's defense significantly higher than Florida's:

S&P Defensive Efficiency: AU #3, UF #11

FEI Defensive Rankings Auburn #3, Florida #21

These are just the first 2 I checked.

They gave up 24pts and 400 yards of offense to Florida.
That's good?

LSU put up 500 yards of offense. Maybe that's the disconnect. Your opinion of playing good defense and mine is different.

I assume you are checking more than just those two? Do solid metrics like Yards per game, Points scored against, sacks, TFL, etc.

I honestly don't know how the match up in those categories (except for sacks).

Auburn has one decent win against a PAC-12 program on a "neutral" field. They're overrated as usual, and will get rolled by UGA as usual. Only wildcard for Georgia is our occasionally horrific and mind-blowingly bad offensive play-calling, which in all fairness, can appear at any time.

Is Fromm settled in with the WR's now? I heard that was the major issue.

Not confirmed as of yet.

Players are still trying to catch deep balls with 1 hand.

Cager and Pickens have proven very reliable. But we are still waiting for someone else to stand out. A whole lot of average production so far.

Is the name of the game how many yards you get or how many points you score? Steele was playing soft coverage, and giving up short stuff to not get beat deep. It worked pretty well. Nix's turnovers and inability to hit wide open WRs cost Auburn those 2 games.

Giving up a ton of yards keeps your defense on the field and tires them out. It has a direct influence on the morale on the team.

I am not saying the defense is bad. it's just not as great as some people make them out to be. You'll have a lot of that defense play in the NFL.

I am not saying we are going to beat y'all tomorrow, either. I know better than to make stupid predictions like that.

Not if you lose the game.

If Florida and LSU's defenses gave you that much trouble then you are in trouble, because our defense is better than both of those. Our problem is our offense. It will be interesting to see which offense shows up for us tomorrow. The score could be 10-7, with either team winning.

Almost all of our WR's are new to the program. He has developed a rapport with cager and seems to be clicking with Pickens, now. Robertson disappears at times which is the main thing killing us. We need that shifty fast receiver to put pressure on the back of the secondary.

Blaylock will eventually do that, I think, but right now there is no chemistry. It's coming along slowly. Veeeery sloooowly.

LSU’s defense gave them that much trouble because they didn’t have to constantly stay on the field due to the LSU offense scoring at will. Auburn defense did a good job forcing LSU to longer sustained drives, which kept the LSU defense rested. LSU showed they can win that style of game too.

Everyone who thinks LSU and Bama’s defenses have suddenly gotten bad doesn’t understand the effect their quick-strike offenses have on their defenses over the course of a game.

No I understand that. It's a give and take. You either have a great defense or a quick strike offense. Rarely has any team ever had both.

No, I'm not. My opinion was based on my eyeballs and scoring defense vs LSU in particular but also Florida. Since you were pressing me for reasoning/support for my point of view, I googled these defensive rankings, the first 2 I thought of, and I stopped there. I don't care enough about it to dig deeper than that because the game is tomorrow, and I'll see what happens then.

This should be a complicated game for Georgia. Very. I expect Georgia to prevail, as the bed shitting already occurred.

We beat a not so stellar ND at home. I don't get the chest beating behind this comment of yours.
