Not sure of his contract status but I know his tenure there has been very disappointing for them so far?

Is it very warm at this point? Is it hot? What’s his buy out if it is hot?

I believe it's already been announced he is coming back. That buy out is huge.

According to USA Today's salary database, Muschamp's buyout — as of April 1, 2019 — is $18.6 million if fired after Dec. 31, one of the larger sums nationally. That number is a gargantuan $22 million if he's fired before the season is over.

Looking at their schedule, it’s almost like muschamp didn’t prepare them for certain games. The Mizzou, Tennessee, and App state games are just mind boggling. All the tougher opponents were hard fought games.

He will get one more year but will be on the list of "hot seat" coaches in 2020. If there is a "screaming hot" list he will be on the top.

He talks a good game, has upgraded the talent from where Spurrier left it, but doesnt get the results. He continually has massive injuries to one unit that just kills the team.

Sc had their 5 of their top 7 receivers not play last weekend. app state didnt respect the walk on at wideout so they blitzed us and dared us to beat them passing.

Qbs dont progress.

How his his tenure been disappointing? Honestly, it’s been less bad than I expected after his flop at UF.

If it weren’t for his buyout, he’d basically be fired already.

Muschamp has been a HC for 8 years between UF and U of SC. He walked into a goldmine at UF and only had 1 good year 11-2, but then the wheels fell off (4-8 & 6-5). At U of SC his best season was 9-4, unranked, and his best win that season was @ 7-6 Mizzou or the bowl win vs 8-5 Michigan. He's gotten worse each year since.

If I am a U of SC fan then I am already done with him. But since the buyout is too high, my acceptable floor would be 8-4 next year and I cannot see that happening when he has to play Clemson, Georgia, Florida, A&M, & Lsu.

The flames of his hot seat are being cooled by stacks of $100 bills...

It has been eerily similar to his Florida time.

He failed at a school with a better history, resources and recruiting. It's not very shocking.

As Long as Gamecock folks keep filling up Willie B to observe this failure of a coach and a program, the BOT won't feel pressured to do anything to save money on a buyout.

When USC fans act like FSU fans and cut the attendance to home games in half which hurts vendors, season ticket sales, admissions, etc to the point where it cost more to keep coach that to fire him is when things might change.

The Fans care about winning and the BOT cares about the bottom line to cover their asses for this bad hire and the contract they gave him.

His seat is hot, but the priority isn't ousting Muschamp, it's ousting Tanner, our AD.

Our entire Athletic Department has regressed under Tanner. It was his decision to hire Muschamp, and it was his decision to sign him to the mega buyout that we're stuck with now.

Personally, I knew this season was going to be tough because of the schedule, but the losses to Tennessee and App St. are inexcusable. Muschamp will get another year, but if he doesn't fire our S&C coach and bring in a new mind to be co-OC, there will be another year without progress and he'll probably get shitcanned by game 7.

I want him gone, but not as bad as I want Tanner gone.

why must the expectations be so high at schools like USCe? they're lucky to be in a league with alabama, lsu, georgia and florida. they win the games they should and lose the ones they should.

Did you watch the app state game? They pretty much took over the stadium. They clemson game may be really bad attendance wise
