As an LSU fan I'll admit Injuries played a big part in the outcome of the game

Grand Delpit had a badly injured ankle that was not healed. His interception and tackle total would have been much higher.

Kary Vincent was out most of the 2nd half from an injury suffered during a malicious late hit by Landon Dickerson. His interception total and tackle total would have been much higher.

Michael Divinity didn't even play in the game. The Alabama running game would have been held to 45 or 50 yards if Divinity had played.

I think it's fair to say the probably score would have been 46-16 if these players would have been healthy and suited up.

That being said, if we're not good enough to keep our players healthy (even when the injury originates from a malicious late hit), that's our own fault. I guess I shouldn't complain about the injuries since it makes me look petty and weak.

Moses being out for Bama was huge also, as much as I hate to admit it. Their LBs are completely different without him

Injuries should NEVER be able to be used as an excuse. They are part of football. Every team has them and every team has to deal with them as best they can. Championship teams don’t let injuries stop them from winning.

Not to mention, the alabama TD scored on his replacement on the very NEXT play after Vincent was knocked out.

I wonder if Landon Dickerson is the 'friend' that Connor Croll was covering for who made the bet on the Florida-LSU gamne :)

Saban has lost his ability to coach up players. It's obvious. Bama will be back in the cellar of college football very soon.
