Losing to LSU wouldn't even break this season for Bama.
For the season, it probably would. Hypothetically, on top of having a loss at home, they do not have a strong enough schedule to get in without being the conference champion.

Real close, but that was "Cholley Mac" you're thinking of.

I think what Clemson did to them in January already started the beginning of the end.

It’s all about recruiting Summer.
I know that you know that.
Wide open and aggressive passing offense has been Sabans achilies heal.
I.e.
Ole miss
A&M
Clemson
OSU
LSU has that now.
Add to that equal talent (lawd forbid better) with top 3-5 classes consistently, will prove to be an annoyance for Saban.

More like Saban breaks Coach O. If LSU cant win this year, with a Heisman candidate at qb, then it is never going to happen until Saban retires.

Alabama lost to Southern Miss for Bryant's first loss in Tuscaloosa in NINETEEN YEARS. We then lost to Auburn.
Bryant announced his retirement in mid-December.
He said that sort of stuff all the time

George, I understand what you are saying but the LSU loss is what started him down the road to retirement. I don't have time to search the articles which were written some what 70-80 years ago lol

Saban is one of those ppl who can't be broken.
His will is too strong.
Like a Jobs or Trump. These ppl think too much of their selves.

We heard this in 2012 with TAMU. 2013 with auburn. 2015 with Ole Miss.

What is Saban's record against those teams and throw in last year's Oklahoma team.

I tend to agree with this. I dont think the CFP lets Bama in with a loss if Utah or Oregon only have one loss and a conference championship. Too much pressure on them this year not to let it happen even though Bama is better than both those teams. The schedule doesnt help.

Yeah - LSU won the game two months earlier and how'd that work out for them

This is just a ridiculous as saying Saban will be broken this year.
Tennessee won a NC with Ty Martin not Peyton Manning.
One season doesn’t make a program.
It’s the trend the program is going in.
LSU is absolutely trending upwards on every level.
Should we beat bama this year, that trend will take a sharp turn up.
Should we not win, we will still continue to trend upward.
There are several programs trending upward now that are make recruiting very competitive for Saban now.
He’s not guaranteed the #1 class in the country every year anymore.
It’s already happening.
