For a game that started at 9:00 PM for most of us and ran past 1:00 AM.

It sure did get the most attention by far. All 14 SEC teams played yesterday.

If the interest here is a gauge...almost double the replies of the closest other game.

Bama.

Some people watch because they love experiencing the greatest dynasty in the modern era, some people watch because they love to hate.

Either way, people watch.

It wasn't exactly a great line up yesterday.

It's because it's the first time in 3 years it wasn't a 35+ point loss for Tennessee. It was actually a game. And Tua got hurt so it made it more of a game.

Great, great rivalry.

But no one will admit that they are jealous of it - especially LSU fans, who want the same thing but have zero clue as to how it works.

Well, our starter got hurt too.

You saw what we had to work with.

That's very true. I didn't mean it quite like that, but Tua is a great QB, so him getting hurt was significant. Also, it hurt Tennessee having the leader of their LBs tossed for targeting. It was a pretty entertaining game though, so people started to watch.

I think most people tune in to see just how bad the refs can beat Tennessee

No one was commenting on the rivalry idiot. They were calling out the shite refs that were throwing the game. Did you even watch?

Your rivalry is about a relevant as LSU's with Ole Miss. Decades long dominance takes its toll on rivalry status.

True yall had injuries but you can't compare your losses to Tua!

Tua going out in the 2nd completely screwed up our gameplan. Thankfully we were able to run because Mac getting thrown in the game sucked without having any work with the 1s.

The team that has been kicking everyone’s arse for the last 10 years on upset alert from the team that has fallen on tough times the last 10 years Sure.

Couple that with the fact that everyone else had already played and it was the only SEC game on.

Just out of curiosity, what were the viewing ratings? LSU vs. Florida hit 7.5.M at the same kickoff time. I'm interested to see how this game compares.

I turned it off soon after the bullshite Roughing the Passer penalty gave Bama a fresh set of downs and basically gifted them a TD.

I watch Bama games to laugh at the obvious phantom penalties they get so they can stay in the game.

Now I see why so many Bama fans are also pro wrestling fans. You have to suppress reality to think that it is real.

Roughing the Passer

There was no roughing the passer penalty.

It was an unnecessary roughness penalty. Maybe he shouldn't have laid on the QB and shoved him down as he was getting up right in front a ref crew that called every ticky-tacky penalty all night long.

That was a terrible call but it happened inside the 20 on our end. We should have punted but we kept the ball instead because of that bad call, however, we were not gifted a TD. TN still had plenty of opportunities to stop our run but they did what all bad teams do, they didn't face adversity very well at all!
