Would a 13-0 Clemson deserve to make the playoffs?

I know they’d make the playoffs, but would they deserve it?
Playing in a really bad ACC? Having a bad game against North Carolina, and possibly some more bad games? Having no quality non-con opponents? (And no, aTm and USCe are not quality teams.)

frick no. 13-0 Ohio State, 13-0 LSU, 13-0 Oklahoma and 11-1* Alabama should all easily go ahead of 13-0 Clemson.

I mean they’ve beaten some great competition.

playoffs should be
Bama vs UF
LSU vs UGA
none of the other 116 non SEC teams deserve to be in the playoffs

Yes and they deserve it. They dominated a very good bama team last year and will go undefeated this year. They’re still capable of beating any team in the nation.

Yes, defending champs undefeated conference champions. They have to earn their keep in the playoff, which will be harder this year I think.

But we have been told by Auburn folks, like Iron Muppet, Garrison, Rabern and many others that what you did last year has nothing to do with this year.

Deserve?
Does anyone deserve anything?
I think they make it at 13-0.

The schedules are made years in advance.
Texas A&M and USC are not bad OOC games.
Clemson has played Auburn a good bit lately and beat us in 2011, 2012, 2015, and 2017
They’ve got a series scheduled with UGA.
I don’t think the Clemson AD phone is ringing off the hook for games to be scheduled. Dabo has built a program. I’m jealous of their success.

The ACC is no better than the AAC this year. The playoff committee never gave UCF the time of day during their 13-0 seasons, and nobody complained.

Well, that would be interesting.
But, if we are going with reality, no. An 11-1 Bama in that scenario would not deserve to be in the CFP.
And, fingers crossed for an LSU vs Jalen finals where I'd happily pull for both.

Did UCF beat two SEC teams OOC?

Maybe Auburn just does not have the right head coach to make them champions!?

That conference is pretty tough with a lot of games left against each other. Plus Ohio state might have to play Wisconsin twice this year
Clemson and Oklahoma are locks to go undefeated. Those conferences are crappy

I’ve said it before and say it again if you swapped Clemson for Minnesota the gophers would actually have a legitimate shot to win that conference
