It's because of your culture.

Pro tip: Hire 2%ers to run the entirety of your athletics and give them the autonomy to do so.

I was very disappointed by college station last weekend. I liked the campus and of course the athletic facilities, but the city was rundown looking.

Tuscaloosa may have its eyesore areas, but the central city around campus and downtown are very nice. That may be the case with CSB too, but I must have missed those areas.

I drove in on 190 from I-45. And straight into campus from Bryan.

College Station is great for college and also moving back to raise a family.

Not too big, not too small. Good schools for kids. No crime.

Our players are surrounded by beautiful scenery and the greatest lifestyle available in the United States. Why would they have the motivation and fearlessness required to put their health and body on the line to win football games?

You've obviously never been to Germany... or Athens, GA for that matter.

It’s pretty simple really. Texans are historically enormous pussies. The athletes you have tend to gravitate towards track/offense.

Why hasn’t Texas A&M Football turned the corner? It’s one of the great mysteries of our time. We have more resources than any other program and fertile recruiting ground at our back door. Yet we haven’t gotten above 2nd in our division since joining the SEC.
The answer to all this hit me today: College Station is too nice.

Until we can make our town a dump like Tuscaloosa or Athens, Texas A&M will never get over the hump.

this has to be the best post by an aTm fan on Tiger Droppings ever.

I had to go to College Station a couple years ago to conduct some business with the transportation institute that is there and while there was nothing particularly wrong with the town that I saw but I also didn't see anything that would cause me to describe it like that.

Beautiful scenery and greatest lifestyle? Uh, no

Recruits don’t want to go to a military school with no attractive women.
