Query: What has Nebraska done that beating them warranted OSU leap frogging LSU?

The new Coaches' Poll has OSU with 4 first place votes and at #4; this caused LSU to drop to #5.
If this had been a Clemson scenario where LSU struggled to put away a clearly inferior opponent, then I could see it, but LSU was chilling in their dorm rooms this weekend or out partying. So clearly it isn't on what LSU DIDN'T do, but rather what Ohio State DID.
So what did Ohio State do?
After beating Nebraska 49-7, which sounds impressive, but this isn't your dad's Nebraska.
Until yesterday, Nebraska was 3-1. That included:
A close loss to Colorado (who lost the following week to Air Force)
A 14-point win over South Alabama (who scored more against Nebraska than they did vs Memphis and UAB combined)
Throttling a 1-3 Northern Illinois team (who gave Vandy their first win of the season this weekend)
A come-from-behind win over Illinois (2-2, with the other loss to EMU).
Man, I am nowhere near an LSU fan, but the coaches have to explain THAT line of logic. Pretty sure LSU could easily beat Nebraska by 42 as well.

OSU looks like the more complete team. They look more complete than anyone to me.

If Clemson isn't #1, OSU has every right to be ranked at the top. They have shown that there is no more complete team than them.

Ohio State is ranked top 5 in both scoring offense and scoring defense. Name another team in the country that is as good as them on both sides of the ball.

i think they look like the most complete team in the country. they also beat a pretty decent cincinnati team by 45 or 50.
they have pros all over the field and the perfect modern day quarterback.
i would have ohio state #1.

Against a team that finished 5-7 last year and that is now 3-2 on the year. I have no doubt that Ohio State is good but they advanced in the rankings by beating a team with name recognition. Nothing more.

Ohio State has a defense.
That being said, Wisky will knock them out of the top 5 in a few weeks.

ohio state owns wisconsin. the difference in athletes is on display every single time they play.
ohio state will probably house them.

Ohio State has been a wrecking ball this year on both sides of the ball
They haven't played great teams but they've annihilated all of them on both sides of the ball.

Ole Miss went 5-7 last year and are now 2-3.
Are you starting to see my point?

lsu has the best win this season but, auburn should be #1 right now. followed by uga. then bama/clemson/osu in no particular order

Ohio State usually dominates their schedule this time of year, and then they'll lose to Iowa or Purdue or whomever. Looks like a typical OSU, with a typical OSU schedule iyam.

First tell me where I argued that Alabama should be ranked as high as they are, then I will answer your question.
