Says it will be calamity or collusion if Clemson and Alabama meet again in the CFP. Really thought provoking interview here.

Agree. Not very entertaining or interesting.

He's a titty baby. I remember when he use to cry about the BCS and claim it was for the purpose of getting a playoff.
What he really means is "I want a format where LSU is relevant because I'm a homer who doesn't have balls to admit it".

Nobody cares about that guy but LSU.

That bitch is just pissed that he's been relegated to FOX Sports and the PAC12.

It's because his shite LSU team will never be in one.

Brando is your average North Louisiana hick. That man is completely irrelevant

Love Brando.
Great mind.

Tim Brando wasn't happy with the BCS. If there was a 16 team playoff, Brando would still bitch and moan about it.

It was both collusion and calamitous last year when they left UGA out of the playoff and put Notre Dame and/or Oklahoma in.
It was collusion due to the ND powers that be, and calamitous in its result = both ND & OU were blown out. Despondent and dejected, the calamity continued to the Sugar Bowl with UGA not caring less about playing the Cows of Texas.

Brando is garbage. He spews hot takes to stay relevant but doesn’t have the balls to back them up. He’s famous for blocking people on Twitter.

The growing lack of parity in college football is definitely a problem. UA, UGA, OU, OSU, and Clemson are so far and away superior to everybody else and the gap is only widening. I mean it's a virtual 100% lock Clemson and at least one of Bama or UGA will be in the playoff this year.

Sounds like the same college football I've always known. Teams often go on longer runs and then fall off and someone new goes on a run etc.
Florida St was a top5 lock for many years. USC was always in the mix. Miami had it's run etc.
I think the reason why people would say Alabama or Clemson is going to be in the playoffs is more about the increased number of slots rather than a lack of parity.
If it was only 2 spots, would this be so certain? Not really. Alabama wouldn't have made it in 2017 for example, yet ended up with a NC. And even though Clemson was ranked #2 last year and ended up with the NC, they likely wouldn't have made it under the BCS system because 3 teams were undefeated and Clemson had by far the worst SoS of the group. It would have been Alabama vs Notre Dame.
No guarentee Clemson makes it in 2016 either. I'm not sure what the SoS was like, but it would have been Alabama vs either Clemson or Ohio St. Ohio St being a blue blood makes them more likely. Washington despite having the same record would have been a name you wouldn't have seen due to SoS.
2015 would have been Alabama vs Clemson
2014 would have been Alabama vs Florida St most likely.

I like the thought of a playoff, but it should only be Conference Champions. That way the 5 Conference Championship Games are de facto quarter final games. You can still have a Committee to pick 4 of the 5 Champions for the Playoffs. No more bullshite eye test.

Conference Champions.
This is dumb.
Let's just ignore 25% of the entire season and pretend it doesn't matter.
When will people learn that the Conference Champions is just for the purpose of the conference, not the national champion which is based on the entire season, not a few teams.
Not to mention it would get the NCAA sued because it doesn't allow G5 teams.

In 2016, Clemson finished the final regular-season AP & Coaches polls @ #3 (we were #2 in the CFP rankings). If the old BCS format had been still in play, we would have been on the outside looking in, on an Alabama-Ohio State title game that would have been a clunker & resulted in another title for Alabama.
