His quotes in the past don't indicate that.

Really? I don't know what's going on in his life but I thought he'd be out of there after they hired LF.

sporting news has 7 Bama players in top 70

Young at 1 and Anderson at 2

Gibbs at around 10

Both safeties

To To

Then Ricks. I can only assume Ricks is due to potential and how he played last year.

UGA had another ton of players being drafted.

The New Year's Eve midday matchup will be the first on the gridiron between the Tide and Wildcats.

Prior to the CFP, the Tide defeated the Fighting Irish (2013 BCS National Championship Game at the Orange Bowl), LSU (2012 BCS National Championship Game at the Allstate Sugar Bowl), Michigan State (2011 Capital One Bowl), Texas (2010 BCS National Championship Game at the Rose Bowl) and Colorado (2007 Independence Bowl).

What Nick Saban Said About Alabama's Sugar Bowl Matchup, Missing Out on CFP

The Alabama head coach spoke to the media Sunday afternoon to discuss the Crimson Tide's Sugar Bowl game against Kansas State.

Highlights below; full transcript available from the link above

* "Our team is really excited about the opportunity to play in the Allstate Sugar Bowl against a really, really good opponent in Kansas State."- Saban during his opening statement

* "Our team needs to bounce back and show that they're excited about the opportunity we have to play against a top notch team that was a conference champion."

* "We're going to coach the players that are there."- Saban when asked about roster management for the Sugar Bowl. He says the coaches have a great amount of respect for the guys who are going to finish the season with the team. He says there will definitely be opportunities for young guys to step up.

* Saban says they had recruits in town this weekend, so he did not watch Kansas State in the Big 12 Championship Game. He is very impressed with the Wildcats' accomplishments though.

* He says there's obvious disappointment in not being in the CFP.

* Saban calls the Sugar Bowl a "classic" game.

* Saban says the bowl game is a good opportunity for players to look forwards, not backwards.

* He says it's an individual decision for the players whether they should play or not, but that every player has the opportunity to create value for themselves.

* "The culture and dynamic of college football is very different than it's been before."- Saban when talking about players opting out.

* Saban does not know if Bryce Young and Will Anderson are going to play in the game. He says both participated in workouts with the team last week. He will see both at the team's award banquet at 5 p.m.

Not sure dumping BoB would have any impact on recruiting. He doesn’t really recruit anyways, right? And all our recruits have to know he’s gone anyways, given his contract.

I still can’t wrap my head around this team having anxiety during away games. That shite is crazy.

On defense, it takes a lot of communication to call and set up the defense. That was a problem in the 2 road losses. On offense, we basically try to audible almost every play, and that is much harder to do on the road games where they cannot hear. Penalties cause stress. What I dont get is why the D line played so poorly vs TN. Crowd noise should not affect them. The officiating vs Tn would also cause stress. That last pass interference call was about as bogus as any call this year, except maybe those same officials not calling targeting on the head shots to BY in the first half.

Coach Kelly is still talking to recruits and making offers, so I wonder when/if he'll join Deion's staff.

Alabama Football Places Nine on 2022 Coaches All-SEC Teams

The University of Alabama football team placed nine players who combined to account for 12 honors on the 2022 All-Southeastern Conference Coaches Teams, which were unveiled Tuesday by the league office.

Emil Ekiyor Jr. (OL) was the lone first-team selection on offense, while Will Anderson Jr. (LB), Jordan Battle (DB), Kool-Aid McKinstry (DB) and Henry To'oTo'o were tabbed for first-team honors on defense.

The second-team offense is composed of Javion Cohen (OL), Jahmyr Gibbs (RB/AP) and Tyler Steen (OL), as Will Reichard (PK/KOS) and McKinstry (RS) rounded out the second-team selections by making special teams' appearances.
