I dont follow LA recruiting that closely unless A&M is involved so i don't know this answer. I know most top in-state recruits tend to be Bama-LSU battles. How often do commits flip between school? Or once they chose a side, they stay committed?

Not a ton of flipping

Some flipped when Les was fired

Most tend to let it drag out till late and the commit.

It usually goes one of two ways. Guys commits to one or the other and stick. Or drag it out to the end and make a decision. Not a lot of actual drama aside from between fans.

I would say LSU gets about 75% of the Louisiana recruits it wants. Of the other 25% the vast majority simply commit to Bama without ever committing to LSU. Flips happen, but not often.

Alabama averages about two 4 star or better players per year, plus some lesser players. They zero in on a few and latch on.

Oddly enough though, some of the biggest have come out of the state capital itself or within a 30 minute drive of it. That happened last season for instance with ishmael sopsher and Christian harris.

Since 2015, Alabama has pulled about ten blue chip players out of Louisiana.

Most commit to LSU. Every year there seems to be 1 or 2 players that become bama-lsu battles.

Fine I made a mistake but in fairness to me, it probably is half an hour in a dodge charger.

You’re right but 45 minutes isn’t very far from 30 minutes. North Denham Springs is 15 minutes from Baton Rouge and North Denham Springs is 30 minutes from Amite.

You’re right it is odd that Bama can pull so many kids from the capital area. Saban is now trying to reach in the Lafayette area, but he’s never really been successful there, and I don’t think he will. Other than a small portion who are Rajun Cajun fans, Lafayette and especially New Iberia has always been very pro LSU.

A "frickin" what?

You were in such a hurry to get that angry little ditty out there. Those chubby sausage thumbs of yours moved faster than that sluggish noggin you're sporting.

Not too many flips that I remember. There was an offensive lineman a few years ago that I don’t remember the name of and a d lineman way back in the day. Sentimore maybe? Ended up transferring from bama to Tennessee I believe. The rest have been fairly straight forward.
