If it holds up, Ole Miss and Arkansas will have played 8 times this season. Usually look forward to playing different teams from across the country in the post season...Im sure Arkansas fans feel the same way.

You really wouldn’t have preferred UCLA...

Potentially. You have to manage not to O.M.A.H.A too soon

Arkansas is a great team. But if you think we would be better off playing a team that is undefeated in 3 game series all year you are crazy.

So you'd prefer to play someone different, than have a better chance of going to Omaha?

Of any SEC team ahead of us, I think Arkansas is probably whom we’d most want. For whatever reason, Bianco has been very good head to head against DVH. It’s going to be rough regardless, but there are far worse draws we could’ve gotten

The last time Ole Miss played at UCLA in baseball, their event staff had our fans removed for changing Hotty Toddy because it has cuss words in it.

Ole Miss just finished a stretch of games against Arkansas, A&M, Arkansas, Georgia, and Vanderbilt...Forgive me, but I don't think playing UCLA in Los Angeles for 3 games would be any harder.

I also wish we were playing someone else, just because we've already played 5 games already.

UCLA has a really good record. But, the west coast is softer than usual. Fullerton and Long Beach State are down USC is weak. Stanford and Oregon State are the only pac 12 teams with a pulse.

UCLA won every series they played this season. But they also lost to Sacramento State. I bet most SEC teams could pull one off against them in Omaha.

Every team slips up at least once a year. The only teams I can think of that never slipped up was 2003 Rice (58-12) and 1995 Cal State Fullerton (57-9)

I get it, that's what I meant with this thread. 8 games potentially against the same team. The uncomfortable part of this is if we split 4 games a piece, then we don't make it to Omaha.

Yeah I would have preferred a pairing with Stanford or UNC, hate getting the same teams.

But at least they were consistent and put a lot of conference matchups paired together UCLA-Oregon State, Oklahoma State-Texas Tech, Ark-OM, LSU-UGA, GT-UNC.

and '89 A&M of course. Most dominant team ever.
