They changed with concessions and amended his contract to fire his arse if there is hint of cheating. Smart play by the athletic department to fire him with any notice by the NCAA.

Update: Wade lost over $400,000 in suspension.

The details of the meeting between LSU and basketball coach Will Wade on April 12 are becoming clear. As part of his reinstatement, the coach made concessions in his contract, according to documents obtained by Sports Illustrated’s Ross Dellenger as part of a public records request. Under two amendments he agreed the school add to his contract, LSU can fire Wade for cause if he is found to have committed Level I or Level II NCAA violations, or if the NCAA infractions committee issues a formal notice of Level 1 or Level 2 violations to LSU involving the coach. Wade also agreed to waive the $250,000 in performance bonuses he contractually earned in 2018–19 and agreed not to sue the school if he were fired over NCAA violations.

In addition to the bonus money he is set to lose, university spokesman Ernie Ballard said that while Wade was suspended, he was not paid the usual portion of the $2.1 million he gets annually for his participation in LSU radio, TV, social media and internet programming. That means Wade lost at least $175,000 more. According to his contract, Wade was to receive the $2.1 million in 12 equal monthly installments, but if he were suspended indefinitely during an investigation by LSU, another government entity, the NCAA or SEC, he was to receive only his $400,000 base salary, which is also paid in monthly installments.

I wonder why LSU people are leaking this amended contract terms now? It’s really no one’s business what concessions were made to get CWW reinstated.

Don't stop believing.
You've been wrong this whole time, so why change course now?

Sounds to like wade knows they don’t have shite in him. Which is what most LSU fans have been saying this entire time. Sorry that you are threatened by coach will wade.

You know that this was done when Aleeva was here right? We have a new AD now who absolutely loves Wade, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he hasn’t already crumbled that shite up and is using it to shoot hoops in his new office.

LSU reinstated Wade because Woodward is family with Emmert. Our problems with the NCAA are over before they ever began.

Forced to add this language is a straight up admission of guilt, with a side of "Please, God, don't let my tapes get entered into the official court record".

You think it’s messed up now, just wait until Calipari’s cheating gets exposed.

Well,Kentucky would certainly know about cheating coaches and coaches who skate and walk a thin line on cheating and getting caught.
