Regions field is beautiful, but I wish the stadium was oriented where the business district's tall buildings were the backdrop behind the batters eye.
The ACC had their tourney in Charlotte and their backdrop there is amazing.
Hoover has hosted too long its time for change. Damn the RVs

I would be more likely to travel to the tournament in Birmingham than Hoover.
I would still like to see a rotation with cities like Birmingham, New Orleans, Nashville, Jacksonville etc.

AutoZone Park would sell out all 12000 seats for The MS schools, Arkansas, Tennessee, Vandy, LSU, and Missouri games.
oh Autozone is my #1 for sure. It makes the most sense of any stadium in the southeast and it's closer to most of the top drawing SEC fanbases than Birmingham is. State is closer to Bham but it's very close to Memphis as well. Only real outlier is USC, but they don't travel in droves to Birmingham either.

State has the biggest fanbase of any school in the Memphis area, believe it or not.
Edit - I mean that all the kids in this area are going to State now instead of Ole Miss. MSU grads are everywhere now.

Compared to what? Hoover?

eh, Ole Miss has a bigger Memphis fan base IMO. There are a lot of new Alabama "fans" as well. Memphis is a giant melting pot of SEC west fan bases and there are still plenty of Tiger high fans.

Really? When I was in high school it was the exact opposite. Only people I knew who went to State were the wanna-be rednecks in Collierville I graduated with 100 people and our sister schools each had around 50. I wanna say 30+ went to Ole Miss. The next closest school was UT with probably around 15. I don't think anyone in my class went to State.

I know. It has completely reversed. Ole Miss is quickly becoming "the other school" to go to from desoto county. It's strange. Ole Miss had been the "it" school for as long as I could remember, but times are changing.

wonder why, because I know MS has in their state constitution that all the MS state schools have to have the same admission requirements or something like that, so I wouldn't suppose Ole Miss is any harder to get into than it was before. Although I do believe they got rid of legacy scholarships where they'd waive OOS tuition for legacies and they also used to give OOS waivers for kids from Memphis many times back when I was in high school. Maybe that has something to do with it.

You could move it to the moon and the two fanbases most represented will be LSU and MSU, they both travel well for baseball and with rare exception the others dont.
I'm honestly not big on change just for change sake and Hoover has been working well for a long time.

You mean you aren't into getting drunk at the bar in Applebee's?

I quit going so I don't care. They can play in Anchorage for all I care.

Not true. Put it in Memphis and Arkansas fans would be there in full force.
Hoover is over 8 hours drive from Fayetteville. Omaha is closer.

It should be in Atlanta ever year.

Coolray Field would be the same as the Hoover met. A shitty suburban location. Let's have the thing downtown somewhere that's cool we go to and fun to attend. Redbird field in Memphis, Region's Park in Birmingham, First Tennessee stadium (Sounds) in Nashville. Nobody wants to go to the suburbs and watch a game. Suburbs suck.

AutoZone Park in Memphis is the dream location for me. Beautiful triple A ballpark

Memphis and Nashville are the 2 best options for a move. Centrally located, nice park, downtown and seat enough.
