He has 2-3 open schollys… his job to change that.

I agree completely. I don't know if he'll be able to fix it that quickly. I hope your prediction is closer to accurate

Make the NCAA tournament. That's the bar no matter who is the coach. Unless we lose a ton of players to transfers or have a bunch of injuries I expect the Hogs to be dancing in 2020 and in every season after that.

We probably looked better without Gafford this year if we're honest.

He really wasn't that good down the stretch.

Add a decent JUCO body or Freshman, develop Henderson and Chaney and we should be fine.

I expect us to be in the mix for a bid next season and I think this guy can make it happen.

Agreed. We have enough talent on campus now to be competing for a bid next season. I don't follow recruiting but I'll be curious to see if he has anyone he's been recruiting that he can sign this year.

Beyond wins, by biggest expectation for next year is having an identity on offense and defense that's more advanced than just "causing chaos".

Pretty sure he just had the last McD AA committed to Nevada and another 5 star in the mix?

Maybe its the same guy but I thought it was a 6-10 guy and a 6-6 guy.

Yea signed 6’10 5 Star AA Jordan Brown last year and looked to be in good shape with 5 Star Kyree Walker for the 2020 class, think he’s 6’6. #19 player in the country

So Brown isn't an option unless he gets a wavier/ transfer? Walker could be a 2020 pickup? Is that correct?

If I was to look at the schedule I'd have a tough time giving us W's against teams that are going to be physical against us. That seems to be the kind of game his teams have struggled to win. He has that in common with Mike.

So games against South Carolina or Florida may be hard to count as W's. But I do think he will have a much higher ceiling than Mike did, bc he coaches defensive rebounding and doesn't gamble as much on defense.

I see being a tournament team as a real possibility. But then I always drink the kool-aid.

I can see us making the tournament in year 1. We were about 8 points away from making it this year. Obviously no Gafford, but I think guys like Isaiah and Mason can thrive in Musselmans' system.

Only saying transfers for this initial season. Seems everything is going smoothley as of now and it won't be an issue hopefully. I was just speaking hypothetically. If say Jones, Joe, Sills, & Chaney transfered, then I probably wouldn't expect to go to the tournament in year 1. If everyone stays or we only lose one then I'd say making the tournament is still the expectation.

I expect muss yo expect the tournament year one. I think that's the biggest thing. from his track record he doesnt seem like a guy who is thinking I'll get us to post season in a couple years. he seems more like a guy that will say here is what we do to win today

I really think this guy is going to be able to turn Henderson into a damn good player. He showed out big time in that first NIT game. MuscleMan will be able to scheme up an offense that plays to his strength, which is gonna end up being similar to what we saw with Gafford (hopefully he develops a good jumper).

And I've said all along I think Reggie Chaney is a stud in the paint.

We have a complete team if everyone sticks it out.

What I'm interested to see is what happens with Gabe. He is going to benefit of not running that free motion stuff Mike taught. He will have a more defined role on the court. He takes to coaching well. 100% team guy.

No matter how many they win, I'm excited.

20 wins if he shows Gabe and Ethan the door to the portal and he picks up two solid post players with some experience.

He's shown the ability to get those transfers at Nevada and next season we'll need them.

If you can't see that kid's potential, you need your eyes checked.

Gabe won't be going anywhere. I'd put money on it. Gabe will earn his playing time just like he did last year.

ETA: Dunno about Adrio. He will probably stick around as well. Adrio has all the tools. He may take well to MuscleMan's coaching. Time will tell.

I'm not a fan of saying our players need to be kicked off our team. Especially if you guys are the same ones saying Mike can't coach. Because this dude CAN. Nobody knows how it's gonna shake out.
